“lovely smiling waitress”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Usual large servings, which for seniors is TOO much. Tasty meal. Nice little dessert tasters. Great service. Some very loud customers who could be heard throughout the restaurant, but when they left it was a pleasant meal.

“High quality, good value, family-style restaurant”
Reviewed 27 December 2013

Gorgeous interior, great service and quiet on a Monday night. The DIY bread bar is a lot of fun with its variety of bread and butters and open grill for toasting your creation. The Cesar salad was good with a rich creamy dressing and crispy croutons. I enjoyed the fettuccini with seafood in a tomato sauce. The flavors were complex, the seasoning very good and the pasta perfectly cooked. My dining companion had the grilled chicken with rosemary sauce, Parmesan fries and grilled prosciutto-wrapped asparagus. The chicken's texture was a bit bizarre, perhaps preshaped portions, and I found the sauce slightly overwhelming. The fries, however, were delicious, thin and crispy and salty, mixed with paper-thin onions. (The leftovers were just as good reheated in the oven once I got home!) Dessert was a pleasant surprise - the dolci are a selection of small custards served in glass jars, available in several flavors. I had the dark chocolate and found it just enough to finish the meal on a sweet note and for a very reasonable $2.50. To top it all off, the bill comes with a chocolate-dipped maraschino cherry.
The service was good and our waiter, Patrick, was very attentive, though he kinda forgot about us towards the end of the night...

“THE BEST Breakfast in the Montreal area!”
Reviewed 7 May 2013

Do Not by-pass this experience.
Exquisite attention to details:
A bread bar/grill. A carafe of delicious coffee, served with warmed milk.
A perfectly cooked egg with ham, wonderful home fries served in a paper funnel, and a cup of fruit salad. Then... a yogurt with berries and topped with grains, plus a slice of a fruit loaf. $7.09 !
The service was impeccable, the menu varied & modern.
BRAVO!
The décor very nice.*

“Super bar a pain”
Reviewed 23 January 2013 via mobile

Good italian menu. The food is excellent. I love it for the bar-a-pain. Make your own garlic break over a real charcoal. We went with our hole hockey team twice and we really enjoy the place and the people.

“Amazing food and bread bar”
Reviewed 2 July 2012

The reason this restaurant is so popular is partially due to the bread bar. You can pick out the type of bread you want, as well as what you wish to put on it and finally cook it on a grill yourself. The food is of amazing quality. The menu also includes original creations, such as a seafood lasagna made with smoked salmon pasta.
