“Wedding Anniversay”
Reviewed 8 February 2014

My wife joined me for our 41st wedding anniversay. We had a nice stay and as usual James & Don made our stay a pleasant one. This b&b is the best in Waterloo and James & Don are best host in town.
It was really nice for them to remember our anniversay and nice treats. Keep up the good work.

Room Tip: There are thee suites. All are good for value

Stayed here the night of our wedding. My husband had secretly booked it for us and he said that every interaction he had with the owners was amazing. They made sure he had a key for the house and the room so that there were no problems when we got back late and they had a special little welcome basket in our room to celebrate our wedding.

The room and bathroom were spotless and the kitchen room was such a nice extra touch. We enjoyed our breakfast in the privacy of our own room and the pool and deck were extra nice touches.

Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice place to stay and enjoy some time away from home.

This is one of the most unique bed & breakfast lodgings i have ever stayed at. My daghter and I have stayed twice now and will likley stay again with so many lovely attractions in the area.
The inground indoor pool is wonderful, making you feel as though you are in a beautiful little hotel. Don the main host is extremely sweet and accomodating, with slippers to welcome you and a tour of the house and where to find everything. If you need anything, he likley has it already in the common lounge. Breakfast is packaged in a large basket with a good morning note for you to enjoy at your leisure. The rooms are impeccably clean and desinger decorated, spacious and comfortable. And if thats not enough, the rates are very reasonable, you will absolutely love your stay here for 1 night or as many as you have time for.
See you again sometime Don,

Fiona and Megan, Welland

Room Tip: We stayed in the Cherry room this time, its very large and to the back of the house with a small bal...

I'm so glad to see that so many other travelers enjoyed their stay at Colonial Creekside as much as we just did. The guest house was far beyond our expectations, and Don and James are fantastic hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Suite Chocolate, which was our own little apartment for the night. The indoor pool was a total bonus, and made our stay even more delightful than it already was. The property is beautiful, and the suites are so tastefully and comfortably decorated. It's a very cozy and warm place with a modern touch. We felt spoiled this weekend and have already planned our next trip to St. Jacob's!

Room Tip: They are all very lovely (we got to peek inside each one) but the Suite Chocolate is totally worth i...

What a fantastic find in the suburb of Waterloo. Its conveniently located near St Jacobs & the rooms are clean, with awesome attention to detail. The private in-room breakfast provided was a great change & all you need. The pool area is stunning with heated floor & surround sound! We can't wait to stay here again - highly recommend it!

Room Tip: The rooms are priced according to size. The smallest (Melon) was fine for 1 night - largest (Chocola...

Don and James are excellent hosts and the house is very clean and well decorated, you feel like you are surrounded by an art collection. They have virtually thought of everything that will make your stay a great experieence. I echo all of the other wonderful comments and can really not add anything to them
