“Long Weekend Stay”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Was not overly impressed. Beds and pillows comfortable, blackout curtains to keep room dark, A/C was cool/not noisy. Mini-fridge nice - not advertised for our room. No microwave in room but 1 available in laundry room. Telephone did not work - had to press the buttons up to 20 times before it would work. Several times when I tried calling the front desk, it either rang and rang and rang or it went to voicemail. Same with the door card - you had to try up to a dozen times to get the door to open. Pool was closed Sat for cleaning 10-2. Too many people on Sun shut down heat/cool system and was closed for hours. When open on Monday water was extremely cold. Ice machine not working. Breakfast not worth it. Place was packed and there were long lineups waiting for food which did not come. Supposed to be from 6-10. We went at 9:20 every morning and they were almost out of food every time. Do not replenish. When you advertise 6-10 it should be available from 6-10. The food should not be cleared away until after that. Boiled eggs had been sitting on ice and were almost frozen - only available 1 day. Not enjoyable to eat. No peanut butter. No protein for me to eat as a Diabetic. No muffins or croissants. No waffles. Toasters not working well - long lineups to make toast - people walked away. No cutlery or napkins on our table. No one asked for our breakfast coupons so we just left them on the table. Had to ask for spoons for cereal. No yogurt. Fruit salad was empty as well. There were oranges and apples and butter and honey to put on you toast if you could find any bread left. Seems the only thing in plenty supply the whole time was ice water. Would have had a better meal at McDonalds or Tim Horton's across the road. Staff was friendly, but not knowledgeable about the area and where to go.We made sure we had a nice time, but overall, it was not worth it and we would not go back to this hotel.

Hotel staff is very cordial/efficient and pool facility is well kept. Elevator for guests who are elderly or just tired. Only issues are in room, bathroom looked old, needs updating and in restaurant for courtesy continental breakfast, only 1 waffle iron and 1 toaster with 2 minute wait per guest to get 1 waffle it averaged 30 minutes in line for it. Recommended to staff at checkout to obtain 1 or 2 more waffle irons and additional toaster to expedite the wait process. Close to highway, gas and food.

Room Tip: Ask for better price they may accommodate you, I rented 3 rooms and got a better price.

Rented 2 rooms for my sons wedding. Room 317 & room 312. When I first checked in on Fri afternoon room 317 had a dirty bowl and knife sitting outside the door.when I checked out on Sun it was still there! I actually slept myself in 312 which is a loft suite. The bathtub mat is coming off and there is black mold and goo uner the corners. The bathroom floor is dirty. The upstairs bedroom is worse the carpet is full of hair and i bent down to pick up something I dropped, under the bed was filthy with garbage from past guests and even more hair! The bathroom had no shampoo or conditioner upon check in. I went down to the front desk to ask for some, they said isn't there some in the dispenser! When i told them there was no dispenser they told me they were out sorry! I have never stayed at a hotel that had no shampoo and conditioner. I would not recommend this hotel. And by the way the breakfast was no treat either!

We reserved a room with queen bed, we were sleeping on a double...
The room was not completely cleaned. As we arrived at the door, there's a used room service tray with leftover food placed right beside the room door. Inside the room, there was a cup of something (smelled like beer) sitting on the desk. Also, there were used newspapers with half of the sudoku played lying on the corner of the bed.

When we went to the front desk to inform them our findings, the receptionist kind of doubted me and said it showed in the system that the room is new and not used... And she also said she will have someone come over to have a look. No one ever came nor and follow-up.

Washroom needs some maintenance work for sure, the tile grouts are white out (painted on with paint only. The towel hanging bar is starting to rust as well. The floor feels sticky in the washroom. Also, there's hair on the soap dish...pretty disgusting.

Nonetheless, the keycard did not work by the second time we tried to use it. I had to run back up to reception to have the card fixed while my 8 months old got to wait at the door in her wet swimming suit from the pool. Not to mention, the pool had large hair balls floating in it, not to mention the greenish hot tub; not sure if that is normal.

Last but not least, we found 2 pubic hair in our bed; and, no, for sure those are not our hair. It is pretty disgusting how well they clean their rooms.

The next morning, the food tray was still there when we left. I bet no one has even pass by our room.

Would I come back again? A solid no!!!
