“Not great.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 August 2011

We stayed at this hotel because we got a good deal on the room from a discount website. Upon our arrival, it was loudly announced by the receptionist of the fact that we were getting a discount and were treated like second class citizens from then on. Our room consitsted of two double beds and when I called to switch rooms (the hotel was empty and there was no way there weren't any other rooms available) we were told that there was nothing available. I have a feeling that we weren't allowed to change rooms because of the rate we were paying (and I could be totally wrong, but
given the fact that the hotel was deserted, I felt that we were getting the run around).

As for the rooms, there were lacking in amenities you would come to expect with a decent hotel. There was no free internet in the rooms, there was no mini bar, and the room's temperature controls were not very functional (it was either air conditioning on full blast or nothing at all). I also found dried blood caked on the edge of the bathtub. Really gross.

The location also sucks. They advertise that they are 20 minutes away from Canada's Wonderland, but there is no way that's true. They are at least a half hour away from anything worthwhile in Toronto. And the shops below the hotel are not great to say the least. I do not recommend staying here. It was a bust.

For the most part it was very nice check in was very unorganized clerk didnt seem to know what he was doing and then passed us off to someone else the room was to be none smoking and smelled strong of cigars, stool in bathroom was all riped up not a chance I would touch in table when you first walk in was laying on the floor it had fallen off the wall. But on a bright side room wa clean and bed was comfy. People in resterant were very nice!

Stayed 1 night. Helpful staff. Had wished for 2 connecting rooms. Although that was available, staff advised that could be noisy because of adjacent hockey team guests. I appreciated the advice, and opted more separate but quiet rooms.

Rooms are clean, comfy. Service is good.

Will recommend, and return.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary at this hotel. When I called I asked for a room with a jacuzzi-which was no problem. However upon arrival when we saw the bathroom the "jacuzzi was a bathtub with jets" very disappointing since I had to pay extra for this ammenty. The room was a little small-it did have a small living area space off to the side but still a little small. The view was ok from our room.
The front desk were average-nothing special with their customer service. We asked them for directions to wonderland and they had told me it was about 10-15 mins when it was really about 25-another part of the reason we stayed here was because the website said it was close to wonderland- its not THAT close..
anyways- its an ok hotel- a little outdated..we didn't let it ruin our stay tho..

We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with feedback regarding your recent stay. Let me start by wishing you a belated Happy Anniversary! I hope you enjoyed the weekend with your loved-one and had a great time at Canada's Wonderland.

The Sheraton is the closest 4-diamond hotel to Canada's Wonderland. Traffic can be unpedicatble in Toronto, but it generally takes about 10-15 minutes using the express highway 407, or 20 minutes using city streets. Unfortunately we cannot control the traffic, but i would suggest using highway 407 on your next stay so you can get to the park sooner and enjoy the day. The toll charge is about $3.50, but is certainly worth the saved time, and avoidance of traffic.

We were in town for a hockey tournament. Coincidentally, there was a minor league hockey convention at the hotel as well.

The staff coordinated a banquet space for our team on a moment's notice. That was impressive!

I would choose this hotel again for next year.

Glad o hear you enjoyed your stay with us! The 4-diamond Sheraton is a very sports-friendly hotel with our 3 pools, Arcade room, Pizza Hut Pizza and hospitality suites.

We look forward to welcoming you back for your next tournament stay.

Nice room and clean facilities; easy access down the Don Valley Parkway to sites in downtown Toronto. Lack of shopping, variety or grocery store in the immediate area of the hotel. Club room upgrade did not make sense since the club room was closed for the whole weekend. The pool and exercize facilities could be better given the size of the property.

This is one of the hotels that have really comfortable beds and the pillows is really nice and fluffy!! Very clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. If you are in Toronto and near Richmond Hill or Markham, stay here!! They have nice pools and amenities. Starbucks is located in the hotel and there is lots of parking and close to restaurants.
