I booked this hotel on line and it was less expensive than the others in the area. We should have paid more and stayed somewhere else.
This hotel is unclean. I think the first floor may have been renovated - the carpets looked newer than the 3rd floor where we stayed. The elevator (the first place you really see) looked like the worst of freight elevators - "bashed in and DIRTY". The hall to our room was dark and smelly. The room was massive - had obviously once been some sort of room where partiers stayed. And the carpet was filthy. It was late and we were tired. We should have asked for another room. I would not walk on the carpets or sit on the furniture as they were all filthy.
The bed was on a large platform and before we were able to find and turn on a light - my husband tripped and fell over carrying our suitcase - not an auspicious start. It got no better.

Room Tip: Maybe the ground floor has renovated rooms - if not do not even go there

The hotel is run by a family business. The furniture is old and room need to be renovated. But it is clean and the bed is comfortable. With the rate of >$70, i think it is a good rate. However, the shower wasn't hot enough at night. The breakfast is very basic, toast, boiled eggs, waffle maker, fresh fruit. In Toronto, it is close to the Wonderland, otherwise, it is very far from downtown or the airport. You must know your way travel on highway in order to go back to the hotel. The wifi is in-consistent, reception is great on the ground floor, poor on the third floor.
