Lovely cabins, very comfortable. The walls were a little thin, so if you have noisy neighbors, beware. Very helpful and friendly staff. The restaurant was delicious! Make sure you get the three course meal, you won't regret it :-) If we were to ever go back to Parry Sound, the Log Cabin Inn would be the place to go.

Today my wife and I were visiting Parry Sound and found this gem for the most beautiful surroundings and a gracious host. The meal - I had a steak done to perfection with vegetables that never tasted so good. My wife had the chicken and we couldn't say enough about the meal and the service. Try surrounding your meal with a fireplace and surrounded completely by the true nature of logs. The washrooms were even constructed with rough wood and had a theme all by themselves.
The prices were perfect and if ever back in this area we will visit not only for the meal but enjoy a stay in the log cabins.
Thank you folks for looking after us so well.
Bill and Dorothy

Dinner on Feb 15, 2014. With all the snow on the ground this was not easy to see in the dark. I strongly recommend a smartphone map link on your website.
I ordered scotch in the rocks with a twist. Maybe they ran out of lemon or don't know how to do a twist, but scotch without the twist is disappointing.
The venison carpaccio was a new experience. Very different appetizer. Share this as it is rich and raw meat can be a little strange. It was very good.
We split the Georgian Bay trout and Duck confit meals. Both were good. I didn't realize there were trout in Georgian Bay. It was a touch overlooked. The duck was tender, moist and fell off the bone delicious. We had a Canadian Pinot noir which was very fruity.
For dessert was creme broulee, a true masterpiece! I ordered cappacino with sambuca on the side. The bartender forgot to add the father, son and Holy Ghost.
The ambiance was very nice, a true log cabin feel to it. The staff was friendly and most attentive.
My overall rating is 3 out of 5. If the twist and trilogy had been added they would have scored a 4.

My wife and I had dinner and spent the night in the #5 cabin on February 16/17, 2014.
The dinner was first class, and the people there are truly kind and thoughtful.
Stacey had lobster tails and she was thrilled with her choice...beautifully done and presented.
I had the mussels as an appetizer, in a awesome fennel and dill broth...REALLY good. The prime rib main was done to order and succulent...a very generous portion, and maybe too abundant given the appetizer course.
The wine list was excellent and we enjoyed a Chateau Neuf du Pape 2010 decanted.
The room was comfy with great amenities. the view out the large windows over the water and forest was exquisite. We will be back and will bring our whole family, as this place is a jewel.

Room Tip: We stayed in #5 and the view is sublime.

Had a post valentines dinner date on Saturday evening. Nice welcome by the owner and attentive, friendly service. However, the food was just ok. Bread arrived first-ice cold. Caesar salad was average. Nice root vegetable soup. Main courses were not stellar. Horrible potatoes gratin served with a generous portion of prime rib. Nice duck confit was tasty. Overall, a lovely ambience in the log cabin--just wished the food could have risen to the occasion.

3hours north of Toronto, just outside Parry sound is a cute gem of a winter getaway in a log cabin. For around $300 for a night it will get you a king size bed, dinner for 2 with a good bottle of wine and your room and a continental breakfast. There are only 6 rooms so reservation are a must. The rooms are cozy and have a propane fireplace , looking out on pristine woods with a river running by. The floors are heated, the decor is northern ontario and you will feel relaxed and ready to deal with the hustle of Toronto again.
Dinner is an unexpected treat, tai scallops, herb crusted lamb and prime rib cooked to perfection. Service is good and be sure to try dessert. Shane and Cathy do a great job of ensuring all their guests are well cared for! Enjoy.

Room Tip: All the room are good
