We recently visited this gem of a bed and breakfast and spent a lovely weekend geocaching in the area. Since we are big bed and breakfast people, we have a certain level of expectations whenever we travel, whether it be in Ontario or abroad. What we didn't expect was how helpful and accommodating Susan was in regards to one of our geocaches that experienced some 'location' issues and needed to be moved. Not only did she help us with the information for the caches, but she also went and gathered one of the containers from the nearby Stockey Centre and will be holding onto it for us until we return! This was truly above and beyond service.

Room Tip: Some rooms are a little quieter than others from what we have been told, but we never experienced an...

We thoroughly enjoy our stays with Susan; she is so accommodating to our every wish. Her breakfasts are excellent, and the rooms are so comfortable. We are going to stay there next week; this will be our 4th time.

Thank you Susan for spending the time to greet us and share with us your experiences in the region and abroad. The rooms were comfortable, clean and breakfast was lovely as well.
Susan also recommended the restaurant just a quick walk down the road which had good service and food.
The cross-country skiing at Georgian Nordic was fantastic!

My partner and I headed up to Parry Sound for a weekend away from the city. We decided to stay in a Bed and Breakfast and discovered this one through a friend, and what a friend! It couldn't have been better! Our room was gorgeous, our bathroom was like a luxury spa with shower heads galore. That shower was fantastic after 10km of cross country skiing though beautiful trails. The house is located right on the water with lovely views and walking distance to everything downtown. In the morning breakfast was served in two courses; berries granola and fruit with fresh baked blueberry muffins and then a choice of french toast or perfectly done omlette. Susan the owner was exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area and things to do. If you are headed to Parry Sound this is the place to stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in the retreat room and loved it, but if you are looking for a more quaint B and B decor t...

Susan is an absolutely fantastic hostess, starting from the moment I made the booking well in advance of my trip. She is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating and made me feel very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious.

The Bay Room is large and lovely; if it had a bathtub I would have given it 5 stars.
I hope to be back.

Susan met us at the door with a warm greeting, showed us to our room, and made certain it was the one facing the spectacular railroad bridge over the river. I told her I loved trains, and with an accommodating wife it is only getting better. Susan suggested kicking back after our drive from Montreal and afterwards suggested a fine eating place, Wellington's, for our evening dinner. Her breakfast was made to order with the finest berries, muffins, French toast, scrambled eggs for me, and delicious coffee. If you don't like trains, request the Bay Room. If you do like or don't mind trains, the north room should suit you fine. There are frequent trains crossing the bridge during the night, but they do not blow horns. My hearing is not good, but my wife says "yes you can hear the trains, but they do not sound whistles and it is not bad at all. Just a rumble." If we have another chance going to or from Montreal, we shall certainly check in at the 40 Bay Street B&B.

Room Tip: Train side room if you love them, Bay Side room if you'd rather someone else enjoy the rumbles.
