“Best Western in Midland”
Reviewed 9 September 2013

Breakfast was terrible, room smelled musty, kitchen sink is rusty, every 5 minutes I was booted out of the internet, room very old, We have stayed in the past years at many BW, this location is very disappointing. The manager was not friendly, did not greet us at check-in.

My family's overall staying experience at this hotel was very satisfying. Room, hallways, lobby, restaurant area, swimming pool, fitness, sauna, jacuzzi ... all were very clean and well managed. It was a quiet hotel although all rooms were sold out. There was lots of tables (with quality) available for guests when breakfast was served which is very important. Staff were professional and very helpful. We enjoyed it a lot and have already spoken with many friends about our stay and are planning another trip with other families to the same area/hotel in fall. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends!

In Midland on business and my wife accompanied me. Our room in the exec wing was clean, quiet and comfortable. Best to get a room overlooking the pool as they don't, as in other areas, have window-banger air conditioners that, for me anyway, go on and off and keep me awake at night. The meeting room was not ready on time, but it was OK. The "free" breakfast was passable, but it was annoying that staff did not replenish cups, juice, ketchup on a timely basis.

This is your average hotel with a high price than the Comfort Inn across the street because it has a pool and hot tub(was dirty). The Hotel restaurant prices are high. We decided to go to Kelsey's across the street and saved $$$ I requested 4 pool towels at check in time and they gave me only 3 because there was not enough.

While the hotel looks extremely nice on the website, we found some of the staff and the manager to be unfriendly and uncaring. Shortly after arrival, the pool had to be closed to due to a "bathroom" accident. The chemicals they put in to clean it caused my 4 year old grandson a severe allergic reaction. We informed the manager and spent the night trying to bring the swelling down in his face and eyes. He never bothered to follow up or even ask about his well being. Another child on our floor had a similar reaction. Upon check out, we were not asked how our stay had been and the desk person seemed distant and bordering on unfriendly. During the course of our 2 day stay, we had problems with the ac (not cooling the room), the internet only worked half the time, the water pressure in the shower was terrible and hot water was hard to come by. The restaurant lost our take out order after we had paid and we had to wait while it was remade. On the bright side, the beds were super comfy and the breakfast was excellent! The lady who took care of the breakfast area was amazing and could give some of the staff including the manager some lessons in customer service. As a loyal BW customer and long time diamond member, i felt we deserved better.

I wouldn't stay here unless you are getting a room in the main hotel. The room smelt like a smoking room despite asking for a non smoking room. The outside motel style rooms cost the same, but are much lower quality.
