If you're reading reviews of this place and thinking it all sounds too good to be true, you would be wrong. This place was wonderful, and definitely the best B&B my husband and I have ever stayed at. The room was very nice, and very clean. Steve and Janet clearly do not use any products with harsh perfumes, unlike a lot of places we have been to, which was a very nice surprise. The sheets just smelled clean. There was a bottle of linen and room spray in the bathroom if you wanted it, so if you are into that kind of thing, it is available – it just isn't forced on guests.

The bowl of FRESH fruit (apples, bananas and grapes) in the room was another great touch. As active and health-minded people, we often find it difficult to get food like simple fresh fruit to eat when we are travelling, so having it in our room (without even having to ask!) was very appreciated.

But most of all, Steve and Janet are clearly very keen to make sure you do not have to worry about anything during your stay with them. We were in the area for the Muskoka Ironman 70.3, and Steve even did some research into what this meant for us. They were very interested in hearing why and how we do this type of event, and even asked about what we wanted to eat the morning of the race. That is unheard of. When we do races like this, we do not expect breakfast, because we have to get up way earlier than when breakfast is actually served. But Steve got up with us and made sure we got what we needed. If you have any special needs (allergies, preferences, etc.), please let them know when you make your reservations. They will do what they can to meet these needs.

And on top of all this, not only did Steve drive us to the start line (very early) in the morning, both he and Janet came out to the race and watched us come in to the finish. It was actually very nice to have someone there cheer us in personally!

I highly recommend this establishment.

When we arrived it was absolutely clear that our stay was going to be great: not only the room and bathroom were absolutely excellent and equipped with the nicest furniture at a high level standard, also Janet and Steve made our stay something very special. They took lots of time explaining everything we needed to know and gave us helpful tips what to visit at the park. Very nice was that we had great talks and interesting topics. After our two days stay it was not easy for us leaving for Ottawa. It was absolutely an experience recommend to share! This includes the breakfast which was extremely delicious! The fond commitmentcan be seen everywhere and in everything Janet and Steve do and say!

We just spent a night at this wonderful family owned B & B near Algonquin Park. Our friend is a repeat guest and insisted that his birthday be spent here again this year. A lovely home outside of Huntsville, this beautiful setting is the perfect base to spend time in the wonders of Algonquin Park.
Steve and Janet are welcoming hosts who are full of good info on the park and local activities.
The breakfast is not to be missed.

Janet and Steve provided a wonderful "home away from home" experience following a visit to Algonquin Park with my husband, sister, and mother, the latter two visiting from overseas. We stayed in the beautifully appointed family suite which is comfortable, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated. We lingered long after the delicious breakfast was over to chat and swap travel stories. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay. You will be our number 1 choice for any return visits!

Our stay at the Algonquin Moon was refreshing and comfortable. This was our first time away as a couple (without kids) in a long time and we wanted to spend some time in Algonquin Park, so the location was perfect. We even discovered a new favorite spot, Ragged Falls (just outside of Algonquin), thanks to a recommendation from Steve. Breakfasts were wonderful, especially the coffee (loved the maple blend)! And we appreciated the fact that they use local sources for produce, meats, dairy and so on. We stayed in the Algonquin Suite, which had a great soaker tub and comfy king sized bed. It perfectly fit out needs. Thank you for making us feel welcome and for great conversations.

I spent three days at the Algonquin Moon bed & breakfast...it was like being in a beautiful cottage setting but with all the comforts of home..the room I stayed in was comfortable and cozy, supplied with a very good quality of linens and towels and not to mention spotlessly clean...every morning the breakfast was always different and always delicious, Janet makes everything from scratch ummmmmmmm

It is only a 15 minute drive to the Algonquin Provincial Park's west gate and an even shorter
distance to Huntsville, that surprisingly enough, for a small town has quite a choice of restaurants
and a real bonus if you get up early enough you might be lucky enough to see a deer or a few deer on Janet and Steve's property...I saw deer both early in the morning and then close to dusk

I found Steve and Janet to be very accommodating, I especially loved Janet, sorry Steve!!
almost anything needed was provided, and also lots of neat stories about previous visitors and
of course, lots of useful info re Algonquin Park...this was my first experience with a B & B and I enjoyed it a lot...would definitely do B & B again and this one would be the one to do folks if you are looking....guaranteed to be a great stay!!!!!
