Description: Westside Fish and Chips Family Restaurant has been run by the same family since 1979. Although they became famous for hand dipped, hand cut, English Style Fish and Chips the menu is versatile enough for all types and sizes of appetites. One wouldn't think that a fish and chip shop could make a good breakfast and they don't...they make a GREAT breakfast! The BEST Eggs Benny, hand cut and grilled homefries, eggs made to order and much more. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner there is something to please everyone. From picky eaters to vegetarians and those avoiding gluten, you'll find something to like. Check out the over 500 teapots adorning shelves all over the restaurant and the dozens of Disney and other animated paintings on the ceiling.

“Small, average, but expensive.”
Reviewed 18 November 2013 via mobile

The restaurant has baked goods that get your attention as you walk in. The wait staff are polite, and attentive almost too much so, maybe because it wasn't busy on a Sunday afternoon. I had 5oz. hot hamburger that was nothing special. Poutine was with cheddar cheese (not correct). Pie, $4.99/slice, pop $2.99, expensive.

“lives up to their name”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

We ordered the halibut fish and chip and I must say that this was the best batter which is light and crispy. Better order 2 pieces as one is not enough. Efficient and friendly service. A must go to if you are in the Huntsville area. Start with a bowl of fish chowder!!

“Awesome fish and chips”
Reviewed 7 October 2013 via mobile

The fish and chips were awesome! Homemade gravy was delicious! The mushy peas could have done with a bit more flavour. Was a bit dissapointed that this location didn't make their own tartar sauce. Service was great. Loved the teapots!!!

“Excellent breakfast menue in the middle of tea pots”
Reviewed 11 September 2013

This place had been recommended to us by a local person, and looking from outside one would not tell that such a gem is hiding inside.
Very family friendly restaurant, great service, staff friendly and always attentive, serving the guests with a cheerful attitude.
Food is plentiful and tasteful. We went the first day for pancakes, and omelette with cheese, and from there on made it our regular morning habit to eat our breakfast in the West Side Fish and Chips! Why change when one is that satisfied.
Prices were absolutely ok, and as an additional treat you get to see all the porcelaine tea pots which the owners had collected in numerous efforts throughout the years. Personally have never seen such a collection on display before.
When you are in Huntsville - go there !

“Fantastic Fish & Chips, friendly staff...”
Reviewed 7 September 2013

It's just a fish & chip shop but it's a great fish & chip shop. Clean, nice atmosphere, friendly staff... great collection of tea pots, and the hot tea is great... AND they sell unsweet iced tea! That's a first.

Also, great dessert slection including several gluten-free choices.

A must if you can make it.
