We booked a room last minute and going in knew we couldn't expect the Ritz Carlton. There was nothing left but smoking rooms. So being a non smoking family we brought deodorizers and sprayed the rooms upon arrival. My only expectations were to have a clean and quiet place to stay after a long day.
The price was kinda steep for what we got, but once again baggers can't be choosers. The front staff member who greeted us was nice, but it must be a family who owns the business cause there was a young girl who was very casually dressed micro managing the girl who was in uniform. I guessed she must be the managers daughter. It was unprofessional and kinda awkward, she kept second guessing the girl in uniform.
We had spent that day at a family BBQ and when we came back from the festivities that evening everyone was very tired. Unfortunately, at 2:30am our neighbours were not. They proceeded to have a very loud party outside, for which I had to contact the front desk about. Although they did attend to the fact that they were outside, once our neighbours brought the party inside their room nothing further was done. The banging of walls, loud conversations and laughter continued well into the early hours. I had to leave early the next morning, 6am to be exact, and got no sleep. I am disappointed that they did not check to ensure the loud guests had settled down. I will not be returning.

We stayed Travelodge Bracebridge on last Friday and Saturday for family reunion as we all family member meeting together after 3 years. What we found at Travelodge best service ever from any other hotel we stayed before. Staff was so polite and welcoming up on check in. Front desk clerk provided us info of hotel area and on surrounding areas. Swimming pool set up was nice with clean and warm water. We ask hotel Manager to help us by providing umbrella for BBQ due to rainy weather but you want believe he came with screen tent and a patio table and chair for us. Rooms are newly renovated and very clean . We did not experience any problem by staying here so every person in reunion decided that next reunion will be here . We highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Choose Room with two Queen bed its a giant with modern look.

Hotels in area get pricey during summer & fall season so book it in advance.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking time to write such a nice review on your recent stay at Travelodge Bracebridge. Muskoka is a cottage county and accommodations here really get a bit expensive during summer seasons, mainly due to shortage of staffing and some other factors, but I assure you that our rates are always most competitive. I am glad that your stay was enjoyable and comfortable and we hope to see you again in future.
Thanks,
GM, Travelodge, Bracebridge

Black mould in the bathroom, no privacy as many people right outside rear door. To add insult to injury, being told I would be charge an extra $20 for a "smoke smell". I did not smoke in that room! After phoning the manager to deny these accusations he finished by yelling "wait and see what happens". I had a $200 dollar penalty added to my credit card the next day. This is fraudulent and criminal abuse and he is using the Travelodge name to increase revenue for an already more than double overpriced room with visible health code violations. Shameful!

Dear Paul,
Thanks for taking time to write a review. Regarding your comment on the mold, first, I personally want to apologize and I will investigate the incident with our housekeeping crew but if you had informed about it to the front desk during your stay, they would be happy to offer you a free replacement room. In future, never hesitate to contact front desk or manager on the duty for any questions or concerns when you are at the hotel.
Thanks and we hope to see you again in future.

The location is very convenient but that's about it. The price they charge is astronomical for the uncomfortable and dirty room that we got. There was a dead mosquito with blood spatter on the wall that hadn't been cleaned!!! A piece of advice for the owners - just vacuuming the carpet and making the bed does not make a clean room. The breakfast was good however there was no where to sit and eat it. There are more that 16 rooms and only two plastic tables outside for breakfast. We had to take our food back to our room. The park-like set up outside the rooms is nice. We got to feed a chipmunk.
