“Warm friendy welcome”

Just like staying wth friends. A very warm and hospitable welcome, without being intrusive, and a fantastic breakfast. Room was perfect for us (couple with 2 10 year old girls). A little off the beaten track in Truro, but easy enough to find and travelling time from the high way in under 10 minutes. Woud happily recommend stayng with Maarten and Nelly to anyone.

Charming bed and breakfast in Truro NS. Clean, modern, and quiet overlooking fields. Lovely garden and patio with a pool and hot-tub. Homemade Breakfasts are very good, but don't expect a menu of choices. If you have allergies, or food intolernaces, you should let them know in advance. Rooms, are nicely appointed, with air-conditioning and free wi-fi, wine glasses, TV, corkscrew, and other basic amenities. There are only 4 rooms, of varying sizes, so book well in advance to get the dates you want especially in high season

Stayed our last night in nova scotia and it was made special by this place. Airy and bright the place is a pleasure to be in and our room was fab (king size bed and sitting area - so very spacious). Breakfast was beautifully made and served by Nelly and the conversation and friendly chat was very nice with both Nelly and Maarten - highly recommended - good value and handy for the airport.

I only stayed here for one night, but it was very comfortable start to my road trip. The B&B is on a fairly well used road, and my room faced it, so there was a little more traffic noise than I had anticipated, but that's very much a relative thing. I live in a very rural, very quiet area, so any amount of traffic is more than I'm used to! For people who live in larger centres, you may not even notice it. The room itself was really lovely - spotlessly clean, and very well furnished, and the bed was very comfortable. The large ensuite bathroom was, likewise, immaculately clean and well appointed. The owner was very friendly and helped me figure out what to do with my one day in the area, and recommended a great little restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was large and delicious. The garden looked beautiful, but with only the one day in the area I did not have an opportunity to enjoy it. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Baker's Chest B&B for three nights during a recent visit to Nova Scotia. Maarten and Nelly were wonderful hosts and their B&B was terrific. The rooms are lovely: spacious, comfortable, well-appointed (each with its own on-suite bathroom) and spotless. There is a pool and exercise room - complete with hot tub, along with a beautiful sunroom, yard and deck area. The breakfasts are outstanding and plentiful. We enjoyed fresh fruit, homemade granola & yogurt, breads along with a hot item each day that included apple stuffed French toast, omelette and cheese crepe. Each was beautifully plated in a their charming eating area. Great conversation and hospitality! Thank you!

Room Tip: King and queen suites are available, along with queen rooms and one with two singles. Each is very...

We loved our night in Truro, thanks to the warm welcome we got at Baker's Chest. We were very comfortable, we enjoyed a swim in the pool, and we had a nice restaurant recommendation. Lovely breakfast, nice chat with owners... just perfect on our travel back to Moncton.
