“Service and menu is hit-or-miss, beer is always delicious”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

I've been frequenting the Brew Pub for almost 15 years now, and it's been consistently inconsistent throughout. They clearly have focused their energies on their award-winning beers (all delicious, but pace yourself, or else you will be suffering the next day, it's very strong stuff) rather than on training their servers. If you want your beer quick, just walk up to the bar and get the bartender to serve you, then go back to your table. Don't plan on the Pub if you're hoping for a quick meal - it's more of an extended experience. The menu has improved these days, now that they're trying for that beer-pairing concept, and they've kept the same chef for a little while now. If you're hoping for conversing with your tablemates and there's a band coming in, you should head out - it'll be too loud to talk. Don't get me wrong, I love this place, I have a mug hanging behind the bar, but it's a venue that requires patience.

“gluten free beware!”
Reviewed 7 April 2014

Went today for a meal and was happily surprised to find the gluten free symbol on many of their dishes including gluten free hamburger buns. When my order came the regular bun came too. When I explained that I couldn't eat gluten hence ordering the bun she said well the meat has wheat in it too! Who offers a gluten free bun option on a glutenized patty. When I tried to explain this oversight, the waitress and front desk attendant seemed indifferent. For what could have been a great experience was very dissapointing.

“Very pleasant place to stay/eat”
Reviewed 21 March 2014

I had a room looking towards The Cheaf; excellent view, clean room and cozy.
The food at the pub is very good and the in-house crafted beer excellent. Strongly recommend this place.

“Good food and great beer”
Reviewed 10 March 2014

We love going to the Howe Sound in Squamish whenever we're out west. The day was foggy, wet and miserable but this place was warm and fun.
While we waited for the lunch menu, we had a Wee Beastie beer (great stuff!) and some dark ale. They make god shandies too. The Baja Fries were really good, tasty and luscious, and the yam fries with mayo were good too. For lunch we had the Cheese Soup - my favourite, the vegetarian 3 bean chili which was excellent and the burger. The food was all good, seems you can't go wrong with this menu. The service was super friendly and fast. The big screen hockey was good too.
On a lousy day in Vancouver, head up the sea-to-sky and spend a few hours here - makes the world fall back into perspective.
