Of course the setting looking out on the quiet cove and surrounded by beautiful gardens is a delight. So is the warm, inviting dining room itself. But it is the food that is really outstanding, especially if you enjoy dishes cooked in the tradition of classic French cuisine. Our group had the roast duck in sour cherry sauce, the rack of lamb and the fresh halibut baked with slivered potato skins along with a range of succulently prepared veggies. Each of us proclaimed his/her dish was among the best ever tasted. Ok, on the pricey side but worth it. Dog friendly too.
