“Super Lego displays and fun search”
Reviewed 17 February 2013

My grandsons and I thoroughly enjoyed the Lego models currently on display at the Sidney Museum and happily search the displays to complete the Treasure Hunt, finding all the listed models, even the difficult ones. It was really nice that the museum is by donation only making return trips entirely possible. After enjoying the Museum displays, we started the Treasure Hunt throughout the town of Sidney. What a dellightful way to keep children engaged and get to explore the various stores in town. We didn't manage to get to all the stores, so will certainly be going back both to the museum and to complete the Treasure Hunt before the end date.

“Sidney Historical Museum”
Reviewed 20 January 2013

Great little museum. One of the better small town museums I have seen. The turnover of short term exhibits means it's worth going back on a monthly basis. Lots of local artifacts and permanent displays. It's open 7 days a week, by donation, and interesting to old and young alike. Worth the time going through.

“LEGO on review”
Reviewed 5 January 2013

A bit of nostalgia for us, but who doesn't love LEGO. Over 200 models on display throughout the collection, including StarWars, aircraft, farms, castles, and even the Taj Mahal. Inventive and imaginative.

“Nice displays and constantly updating theme exhibits.”
Reviewed 21 December 2012

Nice museum with great local history exhibits, pictures articles etc. a must for any history buff. We were told there are several themed displays that run year round with everything from military exhibits to quilting to Lego. Admission by donation was nice, especially when coming in with a family. Very friendly staff that were more than willing to help or explain things, they let us park a stroller in the entry which was helpful. My 2 y/o son LOVED the working train models and the giant train model, they were by far his highlight.

I have been told by friends living in the area that the Lego exhibit is absolutely amazing (runs from December to February I think) and that it is on par with what you would expect to find at a much larger museum. Apparently there are literally hundreds of Lego models, both off-the-shelf kits and "freehand" stuff build by enthusiasts. I think we will make a special trip to see this when it is on.

Overall a well worthwhile stop if in Sidney especially if you have kids!

“Friendly museum”
Reviewed 20 December 2012

I loved the friendly greeting I got when I came in and was pleasantly surprised to find out it was free admission, although I did make a donation. Loved the teddy bears and the movies.
