“Stop looking for a 5 star hotel, take this 7 star B&B!”

We have seen a lot of B&B in our lifetime, but never one like this. Everything is perfect! The rooms, but, oooohhh the beds.... never had a better bed then this. Wish I could take the mattress with me!
The breakfast is a dream, everything your heart desires. Good coffee, Gouda cheese, you name it. After even one night it felt like I left my home, my friends.
All and all over all the best place to be. And lets not forget the kind Swiss/Canadian owners, who treat you like you are their VIP guest.
Chapeau!!!

Room Tip: Don't need to tip this, every room is a dream.

As a redneck from Texas, I don't really like the typical B&B experience, preferring my comfortable motor home or, at worst, a cabin, on the water, with no neighbors. And, I almost never eat breakfast. That's not always possible, though, so I one has to sometimes compromise. In this case, SLBB was the perfect choice, truly superb.

L & M are the finest hosts imaginable, both exceedingly pleasant and decent people with exquisite attention to detail. Of the many reservations I dealt with on this trip, they were the only ones who didn't bother with a CC number, instead just trusting that I'd show up. The house is spectacular and an interesting place to spend your time. The grounds and animals complete the pleasant and peaceful environment.

My suite....Moose, I believe, was perfect. Private entrance from outside, car parked just a few feet away, nice place to smoke outside (unlike many places), good TV picture, strong WiFi signal, and lots of electrical outlets to recharge travel gear. Bedding and bathroom were both excellent.

Instead of merely throwing some pancakes/French toast and yogurt at us, Lotti offered a brief interview in which out breakfast preferences were noted and the next morning we had the best breakfast in recent memory - eggs how we wanted 'em, ham, fresh croissants, juice, toast, cheese, berries, yogurt, and.....uh, more stuff that I forgot. It was just plain something else. Eating on the patio was very pleasant, and their well-behaved dogs were great company.

And, their water tastes great.

These are the kind of people that one is delighted to hand some well-earned money to. I don't mind paying people who do a great job, and Swiss Lodge excelled in every way. It was truly a pleasure meeting them.

A wonderful relaxed and friendly B&B. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and elegant, and we were made to feel at home as soon as we arrived. The Breakfast was great and we had the priviledge of having super weather which allowed us to eat on the terrace and take in the amazing view. We were only able to stay one night on our way through to the prairies, but made sure we had time to stay two nights on our return journey. The animals were an added bonus for us, and we enjoyed visiting with them. Lotti, Mauro and Fadrina were the perfect hosts. We will look forward to staying again in the future. Chris & Jan

To be a Guest at this fabulous Bed and Breakfast is much more than any stay at Hotels or B&B's. Lotti, Fadrina and Mauro are truly exceptional gracious and friendly Hosts. The Lodge is situated in a quiet and beautiful area of Salmon Arm. The Lodge is immaculate and the Rooms spacious and modern. Lotti asks every Guest about your favorite preferences for Breakfast. We enjoyed the Horses, Goats and the two gentle dogs. We arrived as guests and left as friends. We will always remember our stay at the Swiss Lodge.

Beautiful B&B accommodation in Salmon Arm, BC. We stayed only 1 night because we had a multi-stage trip, but thinking backwards, we would have arranged to stay for longer.
Our suite (Eagle) was equipped with a comfortable king-size bed, and the bathroom was quite spacious, with a large (wheelchair accessible) shower.
The common areas look very nice, also due to the original Swiss furniture (all wooden) and we were pleased with the relaxing scent you can feel throughout the house.
Breakfast was excellent, and we liked that we were asked what we desired to have specifically, besides the usual things like yoghurt, corn flakes, jams (these are home-made, and really really tasty!), etc.
If you are less convinced about the place because they have 2 dogs (besides some horses outside), well then we'd like to point out that they are really friendly and well-behaved with guests, and in any case they do not access the guest areas (room hallway and lounge).
Also, if you are lucky to enjoy some good weather, the view from the patio is a first-class one!
Anyway, everything is well-described on their website (http://www.swisslodge.ca/index.htm) and is really up to expectations, unlike many standard hotels.
Overall we were really happy, given that it was our first time there, and we only chose based on internet search. We'll definitely go back whenever we have the chance to travel through interior BC again.
