“Fun at Mustang Powder”
Review of Mustang Powder

Mustang Powder
Reviewed 16 October 2013

I visited Mustang Powder two years ago this December. I had a great time- the facilities, people and food was great. Of course the mountain and the snow were outstanding. Great guides too. I am a snowboarder and enjoyed it.

Awesome terrain great staff and food can't go wrong with a trip to mustang. Very comfortable lodge and rooms. They really try to maximize your ski day to get as much vertical as possible.

I've been cat and heli skiing for a decade or so and can authoritatively say that Mustang is at the top of its game.Skiing is everything an enthusiastic powder skier wants. Terrain is outstanding. Staff on the mountain and in the lodge are superb: efficient, friendly and, just a little important on the mountain, oozing competence. Accomodation very comfortable for a back country lodge and food is outstandin, especially bearing in mind that everything is bussed/catted 3 hours from the nearest highway, itself in the middle of nowhere. I do aim to be back!

went there last APRIL !! for a guys get-away. consider myself an expert recreational skier & was ready for a challenge. the skiing is unbelievable. anybody who has the $$ & is bored with skiing in ontario shud go. you wake-up early. are served coffee in your room. have healthy brekky. get briefed on snow conditions (13ft of base & still snowing. have avalanche training. take cat up the mountain. split into groups according to ability. website says you can be intermediate, but you really MUST be EXPERT to enjoy. you will not be spoon-fed. staff get to know you by name. you feel safe but must take their advice. full-out alpine skiing above tree-line is wickedly fun. skiing in the trees with wide/long skis is a challenge.

It has almost all been said in these other reviews. On top of the incredible powder that is super consistent, I get really pumped thinking about the tree skiing adventure here. It's never the same run twice- even on the same run; many of which are almost a km across. You do want to be in very good condition and a very competent skier or boarder here so you don't keep anyone waiting, because everyone eagerly awaits that next big line. Staff & guides are consistently excellent, and maximum time on the snow for the guests and safety are clearly Nick and Ali's #1 priorities.
