Beds are lousy, very hard. The bars in the area created an issue for sounds. No insulation to keep noises from outside out. We asked for a room I a quiet area so the clerk have us a room away from the bars but it was still loud with the bars across the street.

All I can say is that loved staying here, it is beautifully done and comfortable. I looked at the options and am just bored with the usual jelly mould choices and I have to say that this place is great, a real hotel with all you expect. I really liked the sofa and coffee table in my room so I could chill out and watch tv like I was at home rather than struggling with my drink on the bed. Also everything is a short walk away, either stay in the hotel to eat and drink which is great or go out, grab a meal or a pizza and drink elsewhere, theres lots of choice in Revelstoke and its all like 5 minutes walk. I will always stay here when in Revelstoke.

The Regent Hotel has recently undergone a major facelift and it looks like it is almost finished. The hallway decor is great. I approached my room thinking it was going to be as nice inside as it was in the hallway. The beds are very comfortable, there are great TVs in the rooms, the hallway doors are all beautiful. However, it looks like they forgot to finish some of the items in the room such as the light switches, bathroom doors, sinks and outlets. I would love to see the hotel once complete, if that is going to happen.

The hotel offers a free, simple continental breakfast buffet. It is nice to get a free breakfast in a hotel in Canada, as this is not customary. At check-in, the front desk clerk told me the hotel has "an amazing free breakfast buffet". By using the word "amazing", I was really expecting something very special. Instead, it was slightly better than a US based hotel's free continental breakfast offering bagels, coffee, juice, muffins and cereal. I looked around in the next room to see if I could find anything "amazing".

I would suggest the front desk provide their front desk clerk's with a pager as I and two other guests waited over 15 minutes for someone to appear at the front desk at check in. Unfortunately, I could never recommend this hotel to one of our clients until the above points are addressed.

Room Tip: Awesome outdoor hot tub

Found the Regent a really good hotel. The staff were very attentive to our needs and went out of their way to assist me, I have walking difficulties. Thr room was just fine, even had an iPod docking station, the bed was comfy and a good size, as was the bathroom. We didn't hear any train noise at all!
The resturant was fantastic, we ate there two nights running, couldn't find a fault. The outside terrace was a bonus, service was good, plus I could smoke there!!
All in all a great hotel to stay at.

Highly recommend this hotel. Central location, good restaurant, very friendly and helpfull staff. The ladys at the front desk are very pleasant, they gave us good information on the town. Good stop over on your way to Alberta.

We stayed at the end of the season, although the hotel was still busy. Revelstoke is a lovely town, nice people, cinema, pub and even an adult fun shop for those grown-ups who have grown up!

The trains do rumble past, deal with it! Take pictures, recount how the west was conquered and how the Canadians beat those pesky southerners to the coast... and how everything Canada makes, or you want to use/buy, probably has to travel by train at some point.

We didn't try the hot tub, others did and seemed to have enjoyed it... easy trip up to Giant Cedars Boardwalk and Sky Meadows...

We ate in the restaurant, a little pricey but nice...

We will be back and will certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: stay in 223 or one of the rooms away from the bar

All aspects of the hotel are very nice. The beds are very comfortable, rooms are well designed, and staff friendly. The only minor shortfalls are narrow hallways and the last of refrigerators. I would stay in this hotel again.
