“Great "real" food!”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

We went there looking for something better than the restaurants on the highway. My husband and I have food allergies and don't do good with highly processed food.
This place advertise as having Gluten free and vegetarian food and we were amazed at the choice. We did not have to settle for a salad we were happy to see creative meals we could actually have. The service was excellent and it was great to talk about the history of Revelstroke with her.
Overall an amazing experience!

“OK!”
Reviewed 20 October 2013

Having tried to find a restaurant that evening in Revelstoke. we ended up at this place, which at around 8.00pm , we had to ourselves. Service was "OK" but seemed a little hurried, we found out why later. I am guessing that in season this along with Revelstoke must be busier but not that night.
The place is trendy and also offers a fireside setting for just coffees and the food "OK" . I plumped for the meal soup ( with canadian produce) and my wife for the cajun prawns and ceasar salad, both were "OK". All in all the meal without wine came to £24 and would have been more had it not been for the fact that the place closed at 9.00pm so we couldn't order a dessert. Although this was not pointed out to us when we ordered initially but maybe explained the hurried service we got.
Maybe it was a slow night but to be honest after looking at other restaurants in town this looked the best of the bunch, but it was one hell of a quiet town, on the night we rode thru anyway.

Returned to try something different and found some interesting flavors. Had the pleasure of sitting outside which was enjoyable for us. Along with a class of wine, our meal was enjoyable. thanks

“Napkin please”
Reviewed 29 August 2013

Stopped by one evening for street music, drinks, and appys. Service was good. Great to sit on the street and watch the world go by. Appy was ok and came fairly quickly. The serve missed giving us a napkin or utensils. Water would have been nice too. Not a biggy. Did not try the entres, but they seemed a little unique and the folks that packed the inside seemed satisfied.
We'll try this place for dinner one night.

“Frozen ....”
Reviewed 28 August 2013

Not sure where to start on this. This restaurant has everything going for it. Nice patio at the back. The front patio overlooks the band stand where there is nightly music. And the review on Trip advisor are good ... so what happened??? We had shocking service, where we were left for long periods on our own and we were seated inside the restaurant not on either patio. Probably the most shocking part of the meal was our appetizer of mussels that were served frozen. Yup thats right, not cold but frozen solid in ice. The broth had simply been poured over the still frozen mussles and served to us. On returning them to the kitchen, and perhaps this was naughty, we placed a couple of empty shells in our bowl, 5 mins later we got the same mussels back in the same bowl, in the same position ... yup my conclusion is that they were microwaved. Our main course came eventually, and they were fine but there were easy fare (Philly Cheese steak etc.). Our waitress went AWOL so we served our-self water. At it wasnt just us, the table next to us had food problems and sent there food back as well. Given all the reviews here, not really sure what to make of our experienced. Service was rubbish but so was the kitchen. Perhaps they just cant cope if the place is busy? Perhaps they have a different chef on Sundays ? Either way, there was nothing in this experience that would make me go back. We were wishing we had just got the tacos from the taco van (which we didnt).
