This was a fantastic little spot for a break in Revelstoke. Grab your timmies then turn around and go back to this museum for a pitstop. Interesting, cool, full of neat tidbits, and very well put together for a free visit! Even better, stop in on Friday evenings for a campfire (incl s'mores!) with some really nice people and some cute dogs! It was a pleasure to discover this quaint little museum. Cheap firewood, picnic area, gift shop, and a great atmosphere! We Loved it!

I have to say, I learned a lot today because I have never really thought about the logging industry. But as a tourist traveling along BC highways, we have seen many trucks carrying logs. How are trees cut, transported to mills and turned into furniture or houses or telephone poles? This museum has the answers! It's a complicated process. There is a lot of logging history explained and equipment displayed here. It also is one industry where workers will always be important and not replaced by computers! It is well worth a visit for all ages. There is no admission charged but donations are welcomed.

The exhibits were truly unique. Seeing how our forest has tranformed and what it was like back in the day to what we are facing today really hit home.

Unless you're into this type of stuff (forestry), it's not very interesting. Its a very small museum, but it is free.

We had a nice visit to the Forestry Museum. Anna was a very knowledgable and friendly host and the log cabin building demonstration was interesting. My husband was engrossed by all the different chain saws on display and the history of logging was clearly illustrated.
