The snow was good. The cats well equipped including the food. They were running 2 cats off of the same start point. It was a crap shoot which cat we ended up in and we drew the short straw. Our cat had some pretty intermediate skiers whose pace was S-L-O-W and as tourists, they compounded the problem with stopping to take group pictures and videos which took ridiculous amounts of time. We didn't get a lot of vertical as a result which was disappointing. The guiding was not what I expected. Given the talent (or lack there of) of the group, the guide would bomb off and couldn't be heard to keep track of the group which inevitably ended up very spread out. On a couple of occasions, we had to wait and search for lost lambs. Safety training was as expected. While I love the option of day skiing, I think it attracts some folks who would do well to stay on resort and not ruin the rest of the guests trip. People seemed to come here to cut their teeth in the back country. I just wish they didn't have my wallet in their mouth. We will stick to heli next time out - it weeds out the wanna be powder skiers.
