Get a little handbook. You are about to encounter one of the older stratae of remaining rock from an era predating the formation of the Rockies, way, way older. Here, in Revelstoke, way up high, although the walk to the lookout is not strenuous at all, you get to view mountains and raw rock from that earlier era, and it does not occur very many times on the planet. It is a beloved park, and you may see some surprises, too. If you come during early summer, you may see some wild blue delphinium blooming! So flora fans are going to love it. Bring your binocs. You can see all the way around. And spend the day here. Chill out and take your time. We stayed at one may viewpoint for 90 minutes just watching the clouds clear away and it was incredible, the distance that spanned before us then. This park is a treasure of the northwestern hemisphere, and the world. Wear layers, because the weather shifts mysteriously.
