We ate here one night in August. As it was a beautiful night we chose to enjoy their more casual patio. Very nice wine menu. Enjoyed a great bottle of BC wine. :) Food was very well prepared and presented. Fresh and very tasty. Nice to be surrounded by some of the garden herbs that the restaurant uses in it's cooking. We'll be back often!

We were lucky to get a table at Woolsey Creek Cafe and happily shuffled into our booths onto the cozy cushions. The decor was different and gave the restaurant an ambiance that immediately placed us at ease and settled us after our long drive. The food and drinks were excellent, good quality, it was wonderful fine dining. Our dessert was a platter of different choices, large enough not to be overwhelming but delicious enough to make us eat every bit, a very good decision on our part. The price was good, the service top notch and adding to it when we walked out of the restaurant we were met with a glorious sky over the mountains. A very romantic and enjoyable evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant for warmth from staff and environment and of course exemplary food.

We were passing through from Banff and stopped at Revelstoke for a break. The Woolsey Creek was recommended and we were not disappointed! Bit of a quirky place but all 3 of us rated the food as first class and really good value. The menu list was decent if not extensive and everything that we ordered exceeded our expectations and was really tasty and well presented. Unpretentious restaurant but quite a find and definitely recommended.

Woolsey Creek was recommended by travellers in the motel room next to ours. We were seated at a booth which required one to contort one's legs to get in, but once seated was made reasonably comfortable via pillows...I would prefer a conventional upholstered booth!. We ordered two appetizers and two entrees. The rabbit baluchon (sp?) was a rabbit and mushroom ragout in a pastry shell served over a poached pear and a nice sauce. Each of the parts was tasty but perhaps not totally complementary. We enjoyed a duck ratille (sp?) which was like a coarse pate of chopped duck with crackers resembling melba toast. We both thought it needed a bit more seasoning but was otherwise well prepared. My wife and I thought the entrees shone brightest - her lamb shank and my venison "rack" - both delicious. One knock - the expensive venison "rack" was only two chops - I complained to the waitress when she asked about the meal. When we paid at the end of the meal the waitress told me that the chef said he has been trying to get the owner to change the description from "rack" of venison to venison chops or something more accurate. Overall the impression one gets is that Woolsey Creek is attempting to serve gourmet fare in the country - this is commendable. They are doing a fine job but need to work on the details to get 5 out of 5!
