Ive been to many hostel around the world and this one was the worst. We stayed in the basement and it was cold, humid and not clean. Watch photo of under the bed, fungi! I'm sure you can find better place in town

Room Tip: Don't stay in the basement !

I am usually very happy with the hostels that I visit but this one was terrible! Water leaking from the walls of the room, really cold during the night (10 degrees or less), some of the staff are arrogant and not pleased to have guests. If you make noise after 11 pm they charge you 250$ watch out! Just try another hostel or motel in Revelstoke and you'll have a nice trip!

This little hostel is nice and close to everything in downtown and is very well priced. The staff are friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help i.e. we needed to borrow a hairdryer and one of the staff lent us hers.

The building is split into two levels, each with a kitchen and common area which was good for socializing and was well-equipped and large enough for several people to use at once. The bathrooms were clean (3 bathrooms on the downstairs level) and the kitchen was as clean as could be expected for a shared area where people don't always wash up.

Our group of 6 had a 6-bed dorm in the downstairs level and it could certainly be described as 'cosy'. Whilst not exactly spacious there was room for us all to put our belongings and a decent sized locker for each bed. We had a car to store all our equipment but there was a large, walk-in storage room which seemed pretty secure although it wasn't a drying room so I'm not sure where you could dry out wet gear. Luckily it was sunny, dry and powdery when we were there so it wasn't a problem.

There's an on-site car park for 4 cars and plenty of unrestricted on-street parking on the surrounding roads. It is only a 10 minute drive to Revelstoke Mountain Resort although I believe the hostel can arrange shuttle bus tickets if you don't have a car.

I stayed at the samesun Revelstoke for 7 nights while on a ski trip, first impressions of the place were good, the staff were friendly and helpful, they offered free shuttle passes for going to and from the ski resort and aquatic centre passes. The overall place seemed clean and tidy, there was a decent TV room and common room with pool table. The wifi only seemed to work down one end of the hostel which was the opposite end to my room, the rooms were very small considering it was winter and myself and the three others in my room all had ski/snowboarding gear with them. Even tho there was a room to put skis and snowboards there was no drying room to dry wet ski clothing and boots after shredding powder all day long. So we ended up drying all our gear in our room which became very musky very quickly, wasn't nice to sleep with the smell. This hostel would be fine for a short stay during the summer but in the winter there needs to be more space and facilities for skiers and snowboarders.

the facilities were clean, the fellow guests were respectful and pleasant. The bathrooms and facilities were cleaned each days very thoroughly.

The staff were outgoing and helpful, particularly Simon the manager. I called him the chameleon because he blends into the Canadian culture so well. He is German but you would swear he is the most Canadian guy of all time.

we stayed for a week and showed the staff respect which was paid back. If we had a request it was dealt with immediately but we are rather low maintenance for the most part. The restaurant recommendations were great and very helpful.

I went with my three boys, 22, 21 and 15. This was their first time staying in a hostel and they loved the community environment and the great people they had the opportunity to hang out with.

The location was great, right in the middle of town. Do not stay at the bottom of the hill, you will miss a lot of night life.

IMHO, people who complain either have unrealistic expectations, very limited experience or just a nasty attitude. Look at any five star facility and you will see people complaining because they weren't served like the royalty they think they are. Yeah, I have a problem with whiners.

We stayed there in a private room. Nice atmosphere, nice staff but that's about it.

Building is loud and probably not designed for a hostel.
Kitchen is okay for throwing a pizza in a microwave, not for cooking. Shrunk linen didn't fit the bed. One of the shared bathroom didn't lock.....

This hostel has typical amenities, including shared kitchen, bathroom and common area. It's not the cleanest but the price matches the expectation. Stayed one night, no complaints and this is the cheapest place you will find to sleep in Revelstoke.

Room Tip: In the summer ask for the room with A/C.
