This was a great spot to stay and only just across the bridge. You can walk across the bridge to the streetcar and go downtown or it is just a quick drive away too. I would recommend this spot as it has great views of the lake and is not far out of the way.

we stayed here 3 nights and found it clean and very affordable. we had a corner room with a king bed and a balcony. We could see the lake from the balcony and sat out there and read sometimes. the room was very large and comfortable. for the price, it was a fantastic deal in this tourist town. IF you are counting on the continental breakfast, that's where you might lose. it was there but only your very basic bread (toast) and jam. when you see how many people took advantage of even that and took extra away for lunches etc. you really can't blame the owners for not putting nicer food out.

Our stay was for 3 nights, as we used Nelson as our home base for a motorcycle tour throughout the surrounding area. The room was simple yet spacious, comfortable, and had a small balcony overlooking Kootenay Lake. We appreciated that the location was away from the downtown core and didn't mind the 30 minute walk to reach it. The front desk service was most adequate, and graciously helped us with a last minute important fax. A simple continental breakfast was included and always kept well stocked and the area tidy. It would have been nice to have had a blow dryer provided; however, it was not a huge deal. We will definitely return to stay here one day.

Room Tip: Higher floor room offers nice view to the lake

I stayed for two nights and it was a decent enough place. Not a lot of flair or anything, but clean rooms and the staff always makes sure to say hello when you walk in. It is across the bridge and not downtown, but if you don't mind a bit of a hike or want to drive in to town it takes less than 5 minutes. I would definitely stay there again.

Had a very enjoyable stay here. Pleasant motel, large room, very comfortable bed. Clean accommodation and good value. The only downside was the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room, otherwise no complaints.
