“What a charming little cafe!”

A great place to take guests, specially if they're English! They have a nice selection of teas, in a pot with china cups...actually made with boiling water! Their homemade bread is divine, and roasted chicken delicious. The "tarts" are very friendly and welcoming...love coming here for
Lunch!

“Lunch”
Reviewed 6 May 2014 via mobile

I had lunch with my husband. How nice to have home made bread. All the food is fresh baked. Nice to have fresh roasted meat. They have a veggie option. Quiche every day. A fantastic choice if sweet treats and homemade soup.
It's not a fast food place it's good homemade baking.
The owners and staff are warm and friendly. Nice choice of teas and coffee.
We will go back often a fantastic place to have lunch and sweet treats

“Don't know what you want to eat? Good because you don't have much choice. ”
Reviewed 3 May 2014 via mobile

So there is no menu per say. There are a few items that are consistent, such as quiche and baked beans. The rest varies depending on the day.
They always have soup, salad and sandwiches but who knows what kind they will be as they only have one type per day. For instance I wanted a sandwich that wasn't turkey, but I was out of luck since it was turkey day and they don't take requests. (also they ran out of quiches)
That said, it was a very good sandwich, if not a little dry, with home made bread that was quite delicious.

When we first arrived they brought out a box of tea samples for us to smell and select our chosen tea. We went with cherry blossom tea. It was nice herbal but very week.
The ladies are nice enough and the food arrived in a more or less timely manner.
All the food was fresh and reasonably priced.
The chocolate on the desserts are of a different variety then you normally find in BC. They were not to my taste, but that certainly doesn't mean it was bad, just different.
All in all a good place to stop by for lunch if you're not feeling picky.

“Sweet Treats and More!”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

A charming little place with fresh flowers on every table plus the counter top. Daily newspapers and free WiFi. The displayed layer cakes, scones and muffins were appealing as all baked fresh daily on the premises. As we ogled these, the still warm from the oven seed bread appeared to tempt us further. That settled it, we ordered sandwiches and their homemade root veggie soup.
All just delicious. The soup bowls and serving plates were English bone china. Nice touch coupled with the Union Jack framed on the wall, the smiling British owners and we could almost believe we were in jolly old England. A definite return here.
