Copper Point has beautiful, modern rooms and a nice pool and fitness area. We didn't try the restaurant, which looked a little expensive.

We had some awkward moments getting keys to one of our rooms, as the electronic key didn't work and we had to make three separate trips down to the desk. The location across the highway from the Invermere turnoff is not bad. The underground parkade is too small and strangely designed, requiring long walks, as there are not enough exits.

For couples, the rooms would have been ideal. For families, the trick is that the pullout couches have such pathetically thin mattresses that even my 100 pound ten year old couldn't sleep on it, let alone an adult trying to do so. In the end, we put the 50 pound five year old on the couch without unfolding the bed and had to rent an extra room for the teenagers, which was inconvenient. This is a real shame in an otherwise very nicely equipped condo. They should spring for some better mattresses on the pullouts.

We didn't have any problems with noise from other rooms, although the place was far from full. The heating system is very loud and probably woke us up. Once I turned the thermostat down, this was less noticeable. I agree with the reviewer who said to expect condo, rather than hotel leeks of service.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom, ground floor room over New Years.

On check in we were told our room was not ready (we arrived at 1.30pm and check in is not until 3pm) The lady offered to move us rooms to get us in early, however we had dogs with us so she couldn’t move us – nice of her to offer though.

We had lunch in the restaurant which was ok. There was only one lady serving the room and bar so not as quick as you would hope. We checked back in at 3.30pm to be told our room wouldn’t be ready for another 30 minutes. I wasn’t too happy about this and the lady offered to discount one pet fee for one night. However, the room was worth the wait. The room was very clean and well presented. The kitchen had everything we needed. Stainless steel appliances, modern decor and a TV in the bathroom mirror! Housekeeping came the following day to see if we needed anything from them, towels etc.

The swimming pool and outdoor hot tub were well looked after and clean. It was lovely to be sat in the outdoor hot tub after a day of snow shoeing!

On arrival we had booked into the restaurant for our New Year’s Eve meal, to be told the only seating available was either 5.30 or 8.30. We were told a few times about how busy the restaurant was to be. When we got here, there was only half the restaurant full. This didn’t change during the night!

Throughout the stay the service of some of the staff I will put down to their inexperience – remember this place is still relatively new.

The biggest thing about this resort though is the noise! As nice as the resort is, they should have spent more money on sound proofing and insulation to prevent noise traveling throughout the rooms and less money on high end finishes. It was such a shame to have a good experience of the resort and its location to be let down by the people walking about in the room above us or people flushing the toilet next door. When we first arrived we were talking about booking for Valentine ’s Day. After the first night we reconsidered this due to the lack of sound proofing.

This is great place to stay if you want to ski at several areas. The amenities were perfect and the staff was very helpful. Beautifully appointed accommodations that allows for plenty of relaxation after a long day on the slopes.

Room Tip: Choose an upper floor ....the hardwoods can be noisy for the lower floors.

We really liked the resort except for the indoor pool temperature. We were at the resort in December and were very much looking forward to the indoor pool as an option in the event we had inclement weather that wasn't conducive to skiing or outdoor activity. The pool temperature was around 78-79 degrees which is too cold for regular swimming. We did discuss it with the management and they were adamant that 79 degrees is where they keep the temperature all the time and have had no other complaints. We encountered a few other people in the pool area who basically just went into the hot tub and the pool was empty most of the time. Wonder why???? When we looked online for indoor pool temperatures, it was suggested that 82-84 degrees was more suitable to regular swimming vs 78 degrees for competitive swimming.

We apologize that you were unsatisfied with the temperature of the pool, which has been maintained at 80*F since our opening in May of 2010. We have enjoyed a great deal of positive feedback relative to the comfort and cleanliness of all of our pools so this is disappointing to hear. We will monitor our guest feedback specifically to the indoor pool temperature to ensure we make whatever changes may be deemed to be necessary. We thank you again for your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back to Copper Point Resort.
