Knowing nothing about Hope, we planned to stop here to break our long journey to Banff. There was not a lot of hotel choice and we settled on the Travelodge as a well known establishment. We were made to feel really welcome and readily advised of the hotel facilities including a pool and hot tub. Our room was spotlessly clean and came with a small kitchen. However we found the soundproofing in the hotel abysmal. You heard every door in the hotel open and shut and could get no sleep until the upstar guests retired for the night as their flooring continually squeaked when walked upon. Bathroom noise very bad. We were advised that a number of 'Mounties' were in residence - I think they had their horses in their rooms! Very early awakening, ear plugs advised.
