We had an amazing stay at Farview. We stayed in the downstairs room and it was very comfortable. We have children and Stan and Olive had put out toys, books and art supplies for them to find and play with upon checking in - they felt at home right away! The breakfast was amazing, the scenery was beautiful and Stan and Olive were wonderful hosts.

Couldn't have had a nicer stop on our way home...the Farview is nestled in the Purcell mountains about 15 minutes south of Golden. Stan and Olive are welcoming hosts and made us feel right at home from the get go. We stayed upstairs in the house and and enjoyed a large room with a really comfy bed and an adjoining sitting room with couch. There were beautiful views from all windows-what a lovely setting!

Delicious breakfast of eggs, sausage, toast, hash browns, and fresh fruit (we picked from a generous menu the night before) - the blue berry scones were the best I have ever had-

We highly recommend the Farview, we'll be back!

Room Tip: Families with young children would do well to choose the downstair accommodation-toys and play area...

This excellent B&B, tucked away in the hills outside Golden, BC, is a real gem. The hosts are delightful folks, eager to please and provide an excellent breakfast whose choices rotate during the week and include home made scones in addition to the usual breakfast fare. I was even able to get two perfectly cooked soft boiled eggs. At that altitude, that takes some skill! You will probably end up taking enough breakfast leftovers along to compose a pretty good start for lunch, too.

They have a cabin and two rooms in the main house. The rooms in the main house are on the second story and in the lower level. The upstairs room is full of light and has exceptional views of the property and area. The lower level is dark and comfy and is especially good if you find the extended daylight in the summertime affecting your sleep.

There is a lounge area on the lower level, but I felt comfortable enough to sit down anywhere. The hosts are intelligent and caring people and are interesting to talk to having lived in the Yukon and having traveled overseas to some fairly remote areas. The WI-fi was crisp and quick, by the way.

We highly recommend this B&B and it was by far the best we experienced in our 10 day trip in the Canadian Rockies.

We had a wonderful stay at Stan and Olive's B&B. They were very accommodating with our late check in time and was very welcoming! We stayed in the room upstairs and the view is great! The room is spacious and very clean, and the separable reading area is a wonderful bonus!
As for breakfast, Stan and Olive had an extensive menu and the meal we had was just scrumptious! Especially the scone that Olive baked, it's a must have. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely book with them again.

My family and I made quick one night stop at Farview and it was exactly what was expected. Clean, friendly and great food. It was a little out of the way for us(driving to Kelowna) and that's the only reason for the 4 stars.
Thanks again!

A 1 night stay on our way through the Rockies. 15 minutes south of Golden and great scenery. Warmly welcomed even though we were later than we should have been. Would recommend this place and came away fully refreshed.

Room Tip: Purcell has a great view of the mountains.

We had a great stay here for 1 night while traveling through the Rockies. The B&B is about 10 minutes outside of Golden, in a beautiful area surrounded by trees, and Stan and Olive were very welcoming. We had a nice room at the top of the house, with a sitting area for relaxing and a private bathroom. There was also a downstairs lounge for guests with TV, tea & coffee facilities, microwave etc. Breakfast was tasty and filling and set us up nicely for the day. A great stay and perfect if you like peace and quiet.
