Beaverfoot Lodge was an amazing choice for a holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is nestled in the mountains (which are stunning) and feels like home. The manager and his family are wonderful people who try their best to make you feel so welcome and comfortable during your stay. I would recommend Beaverfoot to anyone.

Me and my wife spent a weekend at Beaverfoot and were very pleased at the experience that we got at the lodge. The food that they prepared was amazing and they even took our food allergies into consideration. The lodge is comfortable and very cozy. The scenery is next to none and never gets old! We would definitely recommend the Beaverfoot to everyone looking for a relaxing destination away from the craziness of city life.

Wonderful to get away from the every day world - no TV, cell phones or even locks on the doors! (but they do have wifi - slow, but it's there!) After a great home cooked meal, we enjoyed meeting other fellow travelers with good old fashioned conversation around the hot stove. Raf and Catherine were excellent hosts. Not luxurious dwellings but very clean and comfortable for being in the middle of nowhere. Open year round so we might have to try it during ski season as it is 30 minutes from Golden and Kicking Horse.

We had a 2 day getaway on the Thanksgiving weekend with our 7 year old. We stayed in a rustic cabin - cabin 2 the pet friendly one. The cabin can sleep 3 couples - it was cozy and what we expected. Plenty of room for us 3. We really were only in there to sleep anyhow. We had Thanksgiving dinner there - very delicious - and Catherine was very aware of my "no pork" request that I had mentioned via email and had cooked a separate turkey and stuffing especially for us! Breakfast was great - lots of homemade bread, granola and eggs made your way. Raph and Catherine are very friendly and warm. My daughter was instant friends with their daughter Alisha and had great fun with her running around and hanging out around the horses. She was always asking to go back to the lodge to play with her! We were sad that the horse back riding season was over but would like to return for that activity. The view is like a postcard - you don't get tired of it. We sat outside and had coffee and just looked at the mountains in awe. Go to Bearfoot expecting a rustic experience with as much activity or as little as you like. Lots of hiking areas - we felt like we didn't have enough time to hike around the property itself. It was great for us to get out of Calgary and have some down time. Exactly what we needed!

After having spent a few days in the the Lake Louise, Banff area we headed to Beaverfoot and found an unexpected oasis. We stayed in the Rustic cabin and were very comfortable and more than pleased with the accommodations. The beds were so cozy and everything was extremely clean. I could not get enough of the beautiful scenery that changes from sunrise to sunset. It's like staying in the middle of a beautiful painting. Beyond that and even more important is the outstanding service from Raph, Catherine and their staff. You could not ask for more. They are so friendly, funny, and so willing to do ANYTHING to assure you are happy. We hated to leave but will surely be back. Thanks so much for such a great experience!!

What a great experience! Raph and Catherine couldn't have treated us any better. We were fortunate to experience both a cabin and a chuck wagon, both were a great adventure in their own way.The cabin was clean and rustic and very inviting. The chuck wagon was also clean and a great way to camp without sleeping on the ground. The home cooked meals were excellent. There were many trails to walk and lots of property to explore, being pet friendly was another bonus.Look forward to another visit. Thanks again Raph and Catherine for making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in the front door

Room Tip: from camping to the lodge and everything in between there isn't a bad place to stay

We booked two rooms in the rustic lodge, both were incredibley clean, and had the most comforable beds topped with comfy feather duvets! We did share the washrooms with the other guest which I thought might have been a problem, but to my surprise, it was just like being at home, all was well, washrooms were clean, the water was wet and warm! what more could you ask for?
We were greeted and made welcome by the most gracious managers, Catherine, Raph and their two lovely children Alisha & Aleks. Did not take long to feel at home! Totaly relaxed, we cooked smokies for lunch on the open fire and enjoyed the breath taking view which surrounded us! Kicked back and enjoyed the presence of their horses which were obviously part of this wonderful family and exoerience!
Later we all enjoyed a homemade roast beef dinner with all the trimmings!
Sat around the fire sipping our favourite wine, breathing the fresh mountain air,and total peace and quiet!
Did take advantage of the sauna & the brave went for a dip in the cold fresh water pool behind.
Called ita night and had the best sleep ever!
Woke to fresh coffee and a delicious homemade breakfast with the best homemade breads ! (I would love to have this recipe..please.)
The riding people were off sick this weekend, but with the help of their lovely daughter Alisha, we caught and saddled the horses and all had a great ride through the meadows and around this great property!
What more can I say, it was one of the most down to earth and relaxing stays we have ever had. We all went home with a big smile in oujr hearts after meeting these wonderful people and sharing this amaxing well kept secret..

Thank You for your great hospitality
Laurie, Dave, Melissa & Kev
