“Great lodge and awesome scenery”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

Beaverfoot Lodge is well worth the trip. The staff are super friendly, welcoming and attentive to little details to provide their guests with a comfortable and enjoyable experience. There is a plaque above the registration desk that says 'come as strangers, leave as friends'....and we truly felt that way after a very short time. We definitely hope to return soon. Amazing views in every direction, and a multitude of starry constellations at night. Arrangements for the wedding were excellent, from the ceremony in the meadow, to accommodation in the lodge, wagons and cabins, the newly-built reception pavilion, Chef Derek's spit-roasted pigs and the big bonfire each night....made for a wonderful experience. The young kids enjoyed learning to ride rail horses around the meadow. Highly recommended for all ages, family reunions, weddings, or just to 'get away and relax'.

Room Tip: Lodge rooms were small but very comfortable and close to the dining room.

We stayed in the main lodge for two days while we explored the nearby national parks. Really laid back and welcoming atmosphere from management and staff made us feel welcome. Room was clean and perfect for our needs, though smallish. Washroom was modern and clean, though shared. Breakfasts were self serve buffets highlighted by two types of fantastic homemade bread and really good coffee each morning. We took in one supper which was home-made satisfying as well. One-hour horse ride was fun but definitely too short to take in the natural beauty of the area.Go with the two or four-hour trips. Reliable wifi in dining room and lounge. Very close to the best hiking access to Wapta Falls off the Beaverfoot Rd. Make time for this trek, 45 min each way. Its well worth it.

Room Tip: Room 10 has a balcony which provides great views of mountain sunsets.

What a place. We were married here in august of 2014 and it is just such a great place. The view from the cabins and lodge were amazing. Catherine Raph and there two adorable kids were some of the best staff I have ever encountered. And the new wedding pavalion was just great for us to tie the knot, and go figure we were the first ones to have the reception in the new pavalion. Will absolutely return here again for many years to come.

Off the grid lodge halfway between Golden and Field British Columbia down a logging road. Excellent place to kick back and relax after exploring beautiful Yoho National Park.

Run by an amazing family who truly will make you feel so welcome and at home. Food is great and whether you want to use this place as a base to explore the Kicking Horse Valley or just hide away this place is great.

You will not want to leave this place when it's time to go, truly a special place. Highly recommended to anyone who loves a family feel rustic bed and breakfast where you will feel like family

Off the grid, but that was great and well worth it with the amazing views and untouched nature around the property. Cabin 3 is a must to stay in with the upstairs, loft fireplace and deck. Beautiful design! Also the staff at Beaverfoot were friendly and helpful.

Went to a friends wedding in mid July, what a beautiful location! Good staff, great food and a throughly memorable weekend.

The chuck wagons were a novel and fun experience and the barn, where the recepption was held was spectacular.
