Owner description: Kicking Horse has attracted rave reviews after just seven seasons for its awesome vertical, deep powder and spectacular terrain mix. With an express gondola accessing over 4100 ft (1260m) of vertical, you’re bound to ski and ride an impressive feat of terrain comparable to only that of heli-skiing. Coupled with summer activities such as mountain biking, wildlife education, and alpine sightseeing, this is a place where the stories are almost too tall to believe.

Awesome with Boo the Bear. A must see for families. Take the package up with the Gondola, lunch and bear. Great lunch and awesome views on hiking.

We just looked around the resort- rustic, people friendly. We took the gondola ride to the top and ate at the restaurant, all glass windows, outdoor patio to eat. We did the package deal, ride(about 10 min up)and the meal. Service good- food very fancy, excellent and large quality. Young adults then hiked across the top of the mountains(trail there) I rested inside looking out a FANTASTIC view, called home at 8,000feet- they had cell service! Worth the money to get to the top. Hikes not for small kids!

We took the gondola ride and it was a fantastic and memorable experience! The view from the top was breathtaking and the gondola staff were friendly. The resort is beautiful with cozy little shops and services and the General Store was a great little place to pick up souvenirs. Next year, we will go on the grizzly bear tour. Thanks KHR for a fun day!

We stopped in Golden on Sunday and decided to go on the Gondola - it was our anniversary so we figured, what the heck. We've been on the Gondola ride in Lake Louise in the summer before, and it was kind of disappointing/boring. We LOVED the Gondola ride at KHMR! It is much better - you go right to the top of the mountain unless you choose to only go about 1/4 of the way up to see Boo the Grizzly Bear.

Stupendous views from the top. We didn't have a chance to do the ridgeline hike but we're coming back in September and will do it then. The autumn colors were already in bloom further up the mountain and as we were there in late afternoon, they were beautifully offset by the sun as we made the return trip down. On the way up we had a peek at the grizzly enclosure to try and spot Boo but he was out of sight. He made an appearance on our trip back down, which was fun. It was also fun to watch the mountain bikers arrive at the top and wend their way down the mountain at break neck speeds as we wandered the peak and as we descended.

Definitely worth the money.

We went there solely for Boo and the refuge. Didnt know it was its own village. Took the chairlift to see Boo and learned alot. But we also took the gondola to the top. Definitely worth getting the admission for both. The view was amazing. Only wished we were there for one of the dining special days they have for the top of the mountain. Next one was August 30th I believe. Would have been something to see.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is also lots of hiking that can be done, mountain bike trails in the summer. Looked like a lot of fun can be had at this resort.
