“Nice place”
Reviewed 5 August 2014 via mobile

I stopped at Days inn while I was taking a trip through the Rockies and I did appreciate my stay there. I found the room spacious and clean. In addition, the facilities offered by the inn were well liked by me and my friends: we made use of the heated pool and the restaurant indoors was great as well. I fully recommend others to stop by! Friendly staff and nice rooms for a proper price.

Had a wedding to go to and booked the Days Inn for a couple of days.
Front desk staff were friendly at all times
Room was adequate, but nothing too special. Air conditioner was not the best and noisy.
Ice machine on our side of the building was not working so had to go to the other side - not convenient.
Room keys did not work multiple times so had to get the front desk to reset them.
Note to anyone with mobility issues - there are elevators at the property.
They had what looked like underage kids helping to clean the rooms which I found odd. One of the female cleaning staff was barefoot (her feet were very dirty) - havign kids help and the barefoot thing is not professional or proper.

Overall it was an ok stay, but would probably go further into town and upgrade a little.

This hotel has been getting a refresh, and I can imagine that the owners can only spend so much per year, so a 4/5 is for the effort and work they are putting in. Normally in this condition, I'd give a 3/5, but the service was great, the view stunning, and you could tell that the people cared. The pool was a blast for the kids. In all, value was high for the price.

Room Tip: Ask to view the valley. Sunset and sunrise are amazing.

We're doing a tour of the National Parks, and visted Mt. Revelstoke and Galcier today, with plans of Yoho, Banff, and Jasper tomorrow, so this was the perfect location!

The outside of the establishment was clean and quaint, and the interior is just as great! Our room is extremely spacious, clean, and updated. Not sure if the $160 price tag was worth it, but it's a great hotel, regardless.

The pool is wonderful. The slide was an utter blast!

Breakfast was yummy, as well.

Great hotel, would definitely stay here again!

For off season in the mountains I found all the hotel prices in the area a bit expennsive. I was very happy to get a decent online price for the room and found the front desk staff person to be very friendly and courteous. The room was big and most important, clean. The breakfast was not great, typical low end north american motel unhealthy re-heatable packaged food product.

Room Tip: For travellers and one night stays it is a decent place to stay. Find an online price and request at...

So, I wasn't expecting the Fairmont but for the price we paid I expected a little nicer than what it was. We paid $160 for a motel...kinda outrageous (and that was with a CAA discount!) If the room had been $89, I would have been pleased as punch!

The room: the smell of cleaner chemicals was so overwhelming it made my eyes tear up. There was no doubt the room was clean. The towel holder in the bathroom was attached with a piece of plywood. The tub / vent had some mildew. There was make up marks on the pillow cases. Overall the room looked clean but a little worse for wear.

Breakfast: included. Yay! However, like the room lacked that little bit of effort to make it good. Eggs, packaged oatmeal, toast, eggo waffles. Worst of all it was paper plates and plastic utensils. So much waste. Edible, but once again for the cost of the room I would have expected just a little more...

Location: this hotel/motel is up the hill for Golden. There is nothing around it. You have to drive into town if you need anything. There is a like a scrap yard / truck stop (?) beside it giving it an almost seedy or eerie atmosphere.

Seriously, for $20 more stay at the Holiday inn or up the mountain at Belstar.

I booked this room weeks in advance, through their own on-line system. It was to have microwave & fridge. When I mentioned the lack of them to front desk person, she said "we always have trouble with Brand.com, and you already got a deal anyway"(we got the senior's discount). "You should have phoned, and we would have taken notes".
There was a significant amount of daylight visible around the room door.
Sheets were not white - maybe clean, maybe not.
Hot tub was closed.
Not planning to try Days Inn again!
