After a long drive we checked into our hotel and proceeded to find a place to eat. There was a BP across the road, but when we arrived, there was a lock box on the door, and no sign of life. Not looking forward to the usual Crapdonald's or Ay and double U, we drove a bit further and came across The Range Sports Grill. Thinking of course this was probably a loud bar full of big screen TV's, we decided to give it a try. Sooooo glad we did! Not at all what we expected. Yes, there was a big screen TV, but was on mute which was nice while trying to enjoy a meal. We ordered stuffed mushroom caps as an appetizer and they were delicious, stuffed full of seafood and a very slight hint of hot sauce. Hubby had a steak sandwich which was cooked to perfection and I had the Definite Beef Dip. Was absolutely delicious and a very large serving as well. To finish it off, when we heard the cheesecake of the day was Key Lime, we just had to have that too. Glad we did! If you ever stay in Golden, or just passing through, do not pass up this place for great food!
