“Plain but very comfortable.”
Reviewed 11 September 2012

Myself and a friend were on a motorcycle trip travelling through Cranbrook B.C. We saw the sign "Bikers Welcome" so we stopped and got a room. The owner looked after us and also gave us a free beer, which was more than welcome given the warm day. We found the room simple but clean and comfortable. There was even a big screen T.V. Enjoyed the stay and will go back.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Got 2 rooms for 75 dollars per room per night. Wish we had stayed else where. The staff are very hard working people. I believe there are 45 rooms. Two ladies in their sixties or seventies were cleaning all of them. The guy at the desk was there 24/7. They were all nice enough, but the rooms did not get a good cleaning. I watched them clean. It just can't be done right that fast. The walls were dirty. The bed skirts were stained and in need of washing. The towels were of the best quality we have ever used. We would not stay here again. It wasn't the worst we have stayed in, but far from good.

What appealed to us was they advertised a room with three beds in it - a bonus for our family of five. We received an email the next day advising us that the three bed room was not available on that night, but they had a room with a sofa bed. That was fine with us, so we booked it. when we got there, the "sofa bed" was a fold out couch thing with foam mattresses. Not what we expected at all.
The room was clean, but that was about it. The "recent renovations" was a new pedestal sink in the bathroom and a new paint job, but it didn't extend to the teal blue bathtub!
Being on the highway, there is quite a bit of noise at night, but turning the air conditioner on was equally as noisy, so we had to choose the lesser of two evils.
All in all, it was an ok stay, next time we need to stay in Cranbrook, we'll look for someplace different.

Stayed at this motel for one night en route to Seattle. I was pleasantly surprised by the convenient location and overall cleanliness of the rooms and motel grounds.

This is an older property but the owners keep the rooms spotless.

Room Tip: Call the hotel instead of online booking. My online reservation didn't get through eventhough I...

This is a hotel fr the 70's!!! No joke. Manager was friendly and the rooms weren't recently renovated like he may say! Maybe new carpets and paint job but that's about it! No joke.
-beds are very very firm
- pillows so thin you actually have to fold them in half! Seriously
- no in room complementary coffee ( I actually had to ask for one but they that was it no coffee or cream or sugar)
- no clock in room
These next few things where tucked away in what used to be a closet!
-our fridge barely seemed to be working
- air conditioner is out-dated
- the stove was old and grungy
The bathroom was small barely any room just to place your toothbrush in a cup. No fan in room, light burned out. If your passing for a quick over nite it will do but more then that stay in your car!

Was a bit disappointed as we drove up to the motel, but the staff were very hospitable. The room we got was a bit dark and very basic no amenities whatsoever, which they need to improve on. Also the access area to the ground floor rooms needed tidying up as it looked a bit derelict. If we had not booked via internet prior to arrival would not have probably stayed there as there were plenty of other nicer motels and hotels to choose from. Was also noisy from the main road.

Room Tip: Maybe the upstairs rooms were better.

Ok, stayed here twice in two years, so it can't be that bad. Basic room, no coffee maker (that you have to get during the so-called continental breakfast), no hair-dryer, bar-fridge barely worked, air-conditioner knob to adjust the cold was broken, bathroom door-knob broken. But....it's clean, you get bagels and cream cheese from the lobby for breakfast, the owner is nice. Hey, for one night it's cheap.
