“Great stopover on return from Waterton/Glacier to Spokane”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

Great food *and* great service. This restaurant in the St. Eugene Hotel offered by far the best service we encountered anywhere in Alberta during our trip to Waterton/Glacier.

“Bison Brisket”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

Located in the St Eugene Golf Resort, located just a few minutes out of Cranbrook, the setting is picturesque with great views of the Purcell mountain range. We were impressed with the service, but what really stood out for us the dinner we had. We ordered the special for the evening, which was the Bison Brisket. It was very good, and we would go back again to have the same dish. If you've never had bison before, and they are offering this dish, certainly worth considering.

“The best place to eat at St. Eugene resort”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

We ate here twice during our stay. We were quickly seated & the waitresses were very attentive & efficient. Food was amazing. There is a patio if you prefer to sit outside. The prices are in line with other higher end eateries.

“Better than average food for the area”
Reviewed 5 December 2013

An unexpected stay in Cranbrook lent itself to a chance to try the Purcell Grill at the St Eugene Resort. For those unfamiliar with the area it is a short drive out of town in the direction of the airport. It was Christmas Party season, beware of dining there at weekends in December. The starters were not fabulous, thick and dry baked French onion soup and poor overcooked, not steamed as advertised, mussels and clams. The beef tenderloin with lobster mash was to die for, cooked exactly as requested, rare and the duck confit was quite splendid. A bottle of Tommasi 'Ripasso' made a fine paring. The signature desert, a date cake pudding was a must, described quite accurately by our waitress as being a sticky, cakey, puddingy kind of thing. Service was most excellent. A visit is recommended.

It's a gorgeous meal for the starved and hungry. It is juicy and tasty. Make sure you take a picture first before you eat.
