Owner description: With the combination of our fantastic horses, fun, knowledgeable, personable guides/wranglers, small or big groups, and the stunning beauty of the scenery, what more can one ask for? Our guests have a passion for horses, want to be out with nature, and have an adventurous side. It is the excitement of crossing a river, riding "the man from snowy river," going thru old growth, river bottoms, crossing slides and alpine meadows, just riding in the mountains and doing it with a strong animal beneath you. The views are spectacular! We also offer pack trips, cabin rentals, and fishing trips. Must call or email for directions. Do NOT drive to our house please. The map is not able to match where the rides are which are in the mountains of the St. Marys.

“Trail Ride 6-8hours”

Fantastic way to see the mountains and experience tail riding on horses who love the bush. We chose the 6-8 hour trail ride which included home-packed lunch, and later a BBQ steak dinner back at the ranch. The horses were very easy to ride, and the guide did an excellent job in assigning each of us a horse according to experience. During the trip our guide was very willing to stop if we (city folk) needed water or a stretch break. Don't be shy! If you need to stop just say so! Very family oriented business made us feel like we had known these people for years, and would highly recommend it for families wanting to see the Kootenies. Location was easy to find, thanks to Val for the directions, and only took us 45 minutes from Kimberley. Bring bug spray, sunblock, and lots of water. A truly rustic experience, and my sister and I are already talking about coming back for the hot springs ride next summer.

“Fabulous Ride but getting there not so fabulous”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2011

The actual ride was wonderful. The guides were friendly and helpful. The horses were well trained and gentle. I would not call this a beginners course as you rode through creeks and steep hills, but I enjoyed the terain. However the road to get to the trail ride was not maintained very well as it was very rough and ended up taking us longer than estimated to get there, but once we got there we enjoyed the ride.
