it was beautiful and fun and functional - the food at The Nineteenth Hole excellent and the service un-faultable!!!We enjoyed the large room the adequate bathroom facilities and the balcony.
We loved the fact that the entire event was supplied and sponsored by the same facility - much like a destination in a foreign country!!! It is charming to have the same amenities in Alberta
The people that worked here were courteous and professional discreet and accommodating
The golf course although we ourselves did not use it was a very nice addition to a vacation retreat
The landscaping was extremely appealing an beautifully cared for
The actual casino was very clean professionally run and fun of course!

Room Tip: Our room faced the sewage tanks and an newly excavated hole the scenery was not appealing in spite o...

I stayed in the older part of the property and really enjoyed the room, the spectacular view, the very comfortable bed and solid internet connection. The food was a little expensive but there is a good variety and healthy choices. With the exception of the server at the golf course restaurant (female with red hair), the service in the restaurants, needs to improve. I ate once or twice a day either in the lounge or the purcell grill - I thought it was a one off, but the service truly needs to be picked up. Upon advising that we were in a hurry at breakfast the food came out quickly, however 30 minutes after the meal was finished we were still trying to flag someone down so that we could pay. There was constantly a wait to either order or pay and not because we were in any hurry, it just took forever. One night at dinner our bill was brought to us, we advised that we needed separate bills and 45 minutes later we were sitting there thinking that they had forgotten about us. I would stay there again, but hopefully the service improves. The front desk staff were lovely, no complaints in that respect.

Stayed on a Travelzoo $199 offer for 2 people, 2 nights, 2 rounds of golf. Incredible value considering how good the golfing was. Sign up for email offers from the resort website foR other great offers. Meals were fantastic, we had a bison burger and steak sandwich in the lounge and breakfasts at the golf course and very well priced for how good the food was. Our room was in the Lodge, huge and spacious. We had a quick history lesson from a security guard when we were looking at the pictures of the residential school, gave us a great appreciation for all the effort that has gone into creating this resort. Casino was "cute". Grounds are fairly small for walking, so not much to do other than golf or gamble.

We just came back from a four night stay and we are very pleased. The food was always excellent. We ate at the bar and at the club house and every thing was excellent. The room was big, clean with a good size fridge. If I can suggest something would be to add a pillowtop over the mattress. The mattress was firm but not fluffy enough for my taste. And also another comfortable chair in the room. Other than that we had a great vacation and for sure we will go back!!

3 nights and two golf games in a nice upgraded room for a good price. Housekeeping was marginal. my only complaint was the front access when you had several bags and a cooler and had to pull all those items up a steep set of stairs.

Room Tip: go for the mission rooms.

My husband, son and I stayed here for two nights at the end of a two week Canadian holiday. Our primary reason for selecting St Eugene was the Golf course. We were not disappointed. We played four rounds in the three days we were there. The course proved a challenge for all three of us, despite our differing handicaps (6, 14 & 24), and we loved it. Max Sherwood (Head Golf Professional) and his team were fantastic. They were friendly and welcoming, taking a genuine interest in how we were enjoying the course and our stay. The resort was clean and tidy. Being so far from Cranbrook township, the resort dining options were limited especially when travelling with a child under the age of 19. Fortunately we discovered the 19th hole where we ate all our meals - the food was good quality and plentiful (or perhaps a little too plentiful from a Kiwi's perspective). The service provided by the 19th hole staff was excellent and they too were friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the golf course to any avid golfer and would like to thank Max and the team for making us so welcome. If we found ourselves back in Cranbrook we would definitely play the course again, and would probably stay at the resort, but only for convenience sake.

We booked a 'stay and play' package for August 4th. The resort is a little off the beaten track, which is part of the appeal. Staff were excellent from check-in to check-out. We enjoyed a great dinner in the Purcell Grill and a good rest beofre takling the golf course the next morning.
The menu selections, food and service are excellent.

The course is in great shape and the layout makes for a nice round of golf. We'll definitely be back.

Room Tip: We stayed in the garden wing. All rooms appear to be similar but request a room with a balcony to ma...
