“Beautifully updated!”
Reviewed 23 September 2011

We were totally impressed with everything about Elizabeth Lake Lodge. Even though it is situated beside the highway, it was very quiet. As indicated, all rooms face the lake. We enjoyed walking around the lake trails after our long drive and felt our room had everything we needed. The bed was amazingly firm and comfortable. The newly upgraded rooms have a large flat-screen TV, closet, full bathroom with heated floor tiles (which will be particularly appreciated in the cooler months), heated towel rack, nice bathroom toiletries, table and chairs, a leather recliner, mini kitchen with undermount sink in granite, and all-new eating utensils and kitchenware. The place is clean and comfortable. We would have been happy to have stayed there longer; next time. It is truly a gem.

Room Tip: They are all great rooms facuing Elizabth Lake

A great small hotel, superior rooms (I like the heated bathroom floor), comfy beds and large flat screen t.v. Owned by a lovely and warm family.

A real home away from home.

From the time you see this place you love it!! Cute and classy from the inside out!! Have never stayed in a place that was so perfect- extremely clean, the most comfortable beds just like the ad says, great flat screen t.v, heated floors and great location. On our way to Banff National park, it was a great overnight stay, would definately stay there again and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

We needed to stay over in Cranbrook on our way to Banff. We knew nothing about the area and wondered what we would find after seeing all the chain hotels and restaurants. The Lake Elizabeth Lodge ended up being the nicest place we stayed after the Fairmont Banff Springs. George is a wonderful host and him and his wife did a beautiful job in renovating this motel. The room was wonderful and tasteful and every detail was perfect. If we weren't a day's travel away, I might be there every weekend.

We picked Elizabeth Lake Lodge based on all the great trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. Super clean and well presented motel rooms that would not of been out of place in a much more upscale hotel. Very good value for money. The owners were very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of helpful tips on places to see and eat. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and presentable accomodations with a personal touch. Reminded me of a guest room in an upscale home. People were friendly and informative....actually walked you to your room. Beds were outstanding with a vrey nice room layout. Flat screen TV a bonus. Set along a main road, so try and reserve a room on the back side of the hotel.

Excellent room with great layout, well-equipped kitchen. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom. Adjacent to a wetlands with trails. Also has a challenging mini-golf on site. Owners friendly and gave us lots of tips. Check out the local aquatic center.
