The nature trails at Seal Bay are easy to walk. Mostly level walking areas, with a few minor hills. The various views of the ocean are thrilling! Parking is easy and non pay!! Do go out and see for yourself!

Lovely cool woodland trails which are very well marked out and no problem about getting lost. Could spend a few days to get around it all but went down a winding trail to the rocky beach below. Wind was so refreshing. A quiet getaway at any time.

Love walking in this park, nice trail going down to the beach. The beach is very rocky though. Nice steep climb back up. Trails for horses in other areas. Very peaceful, tranquil place to go.

Seal bay is a treasure. Beautiful paths winding through the trees with access to the beach. Make your walk 1k or 10k, thru the forest down to the beach and back along the beach. It's a magical place. In the fall the colours are fantastic. In the winter when the fog rolls in it's mystical.

We went here on the advice of the staff at The Cona Hostel in Courtenay. We took the horse/bike path around the park, and were impressed at how well-maintained it was. Someone has put in a lot of work on adding gravel to the paths, clearing underbrush, etc. The walking paths on the lower portion of the park are for walking only (one section is wheelchair accessible), so we didn't get down to see the sea, but otherwise enjoyed it very much. Toilets (simple but clean) are available at the car park section on Bates Road.
