My husband and I stayed at Windborne B&B over the weekend for one night in the Moonlight Suite. We were just passing through the area and lucked out in finding this gem. Very easy to find. Minutes from town. Gorgeous gardens surrounding beautiful home.

Room was higher quality than an expensive hotel room. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Got a great night's sleep, which is unusual for me in an any bed that is not my own. The bathroom was the show stopper with incredible 2-person tub and multi-jet shower. Luxury linens, towel animals, in-room TV and DVD player allows the less-social guest a retreat and evening's entertainment. High-quality robes were wonderful. Decor superb. Extra bonus was the balcony we could've accessed off of our room had the weather been warmer.

Breakfast was top-notch and beautifully presented. Our meal consisted of: fresh fruit cup with cookie (?) topping and yogurt (?), pistachios, tangerine, scrambled eggs with candied salmon (delicious!), sauteed whole grape tomatoes, 2 generous slices of homemade bread with choice of jam. Wow! Truly artistic presentation.

Marc was a delight. Gracious host and knew when we wanted to be alone. Better than any hotel experience we've had. Definitely a bargain for the luxury accommodations and food. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Pay extra for the Moolight Suite for the king-sized bed, extra space, and tub!

After experiencing no sleep on past business trips, we decided to try Windborne B&B. I cannot recommend any place I would rather stay. Marc and his wife are charming hosts, and their home is delightful. After a good nights sleep, we awoke to a delicious home cooked breakfast. The only regret is that we could not stay longer.

This is now my second time back to windborne bed and breakfast. Always something I will look forward to coming back every year. Marc's delicious hand crafted breakfasts and a hot tub under the stars make this B and B one to remember and without a doubt my first choice every time I head to the kootenys. Overall a wonderful experience. Highly reccomend a stay here!

A lovely place to stay. Food was outstanding and also the service.
A place to visit again. Very nice to meet both Marc and Mirja, they make you feel welcome in their home. Mirja does outstanding paintings and Marc has the grounds looking beautiful.

Keith and I used the Windborne B&B as our base whilst visiting the Kootenays in September 2013. We stayed in the Moonlight Suite with the incredibly comfortable king size bed and would describe the whole experience as being in a luxury retreat without the price tag.

We have stayed in numerous B&B’s and hotels in our travels and can say without a doubt that our experience at the Windborne B&B has been the most comfortable and memorable one to date. One could not wish for better hosts than Marc and Mirja. They were most welcoming and made our stay very comfortable. It is not just the accommodation but the people that make a difference and at Windborne, you get the best of both.

Marc is an awesome cook and you can see his dedication in making each breakfast a unique experience. Windborne itself is a beautiful home, very well designed and impeccably clean. Marc has done an exceptional job on the landscaping around the grounds and Mirja’s impressive art adorn the walls of Windborne displaying talent from the moment you enter.

Needless to say, if there was a “Marc and Mirja’s Windborne B&B” wherever we travel, there would be no debate as to where we would choose to stay.
