“Cozy cabin”
Reviewed 7 October 2013

Lovely cozy cabin with great views. The best breakfast ever in the Anglers Restaurant! Cabin 4 has a fantastic view, a hot tub and a lovely log fire. Watched orcas from our deck. A very peaceful and relaxing break.

We were in room nr 4, a studio with kitchenette, nicely furnished. Bathroom a little cramped but main room has lots of space.
This room is sharing a cabin with another similar studio. Unfortunately this affects intimacy when you're in the jacuzzi or sitting at the garden table but our neighbour was friendly.
Wonderful view from the patio and the window, beautiful garden. I didn't know hummingbirds existed in non-tropical places until we saw some near our room!
Very good food at the restaurant. If you want to have dinner on the patio, book a table very early in the morning!

Room Tip: If intimacy is important to you, pick an individual cabin, not a shared one.

Great little lodge/resort halfway up Vancouver Island in Campbell River. Excellent access to both fresh and salt water fishing. They recommended Gene for a guide and he was great. Caught a lot of trout. The next day we went out salmon fishing. Caught a couple nice salmon which Ron prepared and we carrier them back with us as checked luggage. We stayed in a cabin. The cabins are well appointed and have great to very good ocean views. We had a hot tub on the deck and were able to grill our fresh salmon there too. The staff are very friendly and the service is outstanding. The Angler restaurant at the resort was great. Our stay was exciting (fishing) and relaxing while enjoying the views.

My husband and I returned to the Dolphins Resort for the third time this year...and we live in Arizona! The setting is beautiful and the cabins are clean and cozy. We love having a jacuzzi on our private deck and looking out at the water and mountains. Although the bedrooms & bath are small, the ambiance makes up for it. The staff are outstanding...amazingly helpful and friendly! We've come to have several favorites at the restaurant...the salmon eggs benedict are the best we've had anywhere! And we love the bison meatballs for dinner. When we called this time to make the reservation, we were told they were not currently on the menu. But as promised, they added them for us the weekend we were there! All the staff knew we had made this special request. And we were not disappointed with the quality. Last year when we stayed and the jacuzzi wasn't working, they quickly moved us to another room. I'm a travel agent (Journeys Around the World) and have service standards...and the Dolphins is fabulous!! Can't wait to return!

This is a fantastic place. We stayed here as a treat for family to 'showcase' the Island and we were not disappointed. Cabin number 1 was perfect for our party of three adults and two babies due to the size, a well equipped, very clean kitchen and of course, the stunning views from windows and deck.

The grounds are very well maintained and I felt oh so happy just strolling through when meandering around the resort. Down a path there is a sandy beach which was also fun for our boy.

I can't say enough about the restaurant. We celebrated my husband's birthday there a month before but this time we were staying on-site. They looked after us so well, that with having a two year old and a one month old at the time, I felt very relaxed and well fed. The food is fresh and bountiful with attention to detail. The brunch the next day was also delicious and we can recommend pretty much everything off the menu as my husband and I like to order a 'few' dishes each for brunch.

We still talk about this place and with another visitor from overseas coming by in a few days, we are planning to go back very soon...at very least for brunch.

Great little resort about a 10 min drive to Campbell River. This was our second stay here over the years and we really enjoyed our little studio cabin-#6. Queen size bed, river rock fireplace, 2person hot tub on the deck, little kitchenette. The cabins are original and have had a few updates but retain alot of their original fixtures and charm. They are really clean and have everything you would require for a short stay. Spectacular ocean view- we enjoyed opening the old wooden windows wide open and sitting at the little table in the morning drinking our coffee and watching the boats go by. We had a celebration with other family members in a few other cabins on the property over the weekend and service was always great. We were allowed to have a bonfire on the beach at night & enjoy looking at the stars as well. It was really quiet at night as well. Breakfast is included in the rate but get there early on the weekend because it is a popular place to sit on the deck & enjoy a gourmet breakfast.

Room Tip: Go for the ocean view, it's so worth it!
