Highlight of this little property are the views overlooking the water. Clean, spacious room with very friendly and helpful staff. Furnishings were dated and worn especially given the price. Also, a bit of a hike (20-30 minutes) from Campbell River restaurants and attractions. But certainly a nice option in Campbell River.

Room Tip: best views are on the 2nd floor

This place does indeed have a good view of the water, but it is completely wasted because you won't actually want to spend anytime in your spartan, institutional smelling room. The walls are painted cinderblock, the beds are barely passable, the furniture is plywood and the highway is conveniently located only a few feet from your front door so you can hear every car, truck and emergency vehicle as it goes by all night long. This is not a four star hotel or hidden gem. It's a basic roadside motel that you stay at when every other place in town is booked.

We booked an upper floor room after reading a trip advisor report and we were not disappointed. Our balcony overlooked the Johnson Strait so we saw several cruise ships bound for Discovery Passage glide silently past each evening. The view was stunning. Tea was taken on the balcony in the sun every morning. By the afternoon the sun had moved round so we were able to sit in the shade, perfect. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room spotless. The large room, although a little dated, was perfectly adeqate for our needs with fridge and kettle (no crockery apart from mugs, and no cutlery apart from teaspoons). There were two comfortable double beds. Campbell River is a 15 minute walk, downhill some of the way which means it is uphill coming back but it is still not a stenous walk. Try Dick's fish and chips near the marina and sit outside on the floating pontoon, even in the drizzle it was impressive. Make sure you take a float plane ride, we went with Vancouver Air and the staff were very knowledgeable. The Museum is just across the road and well worth a visit if you want to know more about the history of the First Nations, logging and fishing industries.

The view is great, top floor a wee bit better. It's older but clean. Easy walk to town. It has new wi-fi system so worked for us. We've had great service from receptionist Gwen, that brought us back, she is helpful, caring and humerous.

Great rate quality/price.
The rooms have a very big windows with a fantastic view on the sea, clean and quiet.
The only bad thing is that our room was far from reception and the wi-fi connetion not arrived till our room (so we cannot use it). Staff was not able to solve it and not so available to find a solution.

This little motel would be easy to pass without seeing. Its not very big or flashy, but the rooms are clean and the view is unbelievable. We stopped there on the last night of our vacation. We hadn't made any reservations, but the owner was very accommodating. I wish we had been able to stay a second night. I'm thinking about coming back to Campbell River just to stay there!
