I have been a repeat guest now at the Campbell River Lodge for years and consider myself lucky enough to be one of the most successful fishermen in the Lodge's history!
Over the years, the Lodge has looked after my family and friends as well as myself so well that there's no question that I would return again and again. I can honestly consider myself to be an "Ambassador" for the Lodge and one of the Lodge's longest yearly repeat customers. (They must be doing something right!) I look forward to returning to the Campbell River Lodge again this year (the 19th consecutive) so I can carry on the tradition of fun times and great fishing!

This place needs more than an infusion of new blood it needs a transfusion. It's grubby, old and smells. The place is very chopped up with an addition here and there. Looks like the carpenter's apprentice put in the so-called hot tub. It might be okay for a bunch guys who just want to fish (like the drunken fisherman who hang out on the patio every night). The dining room serves up greasy burgers and fries and don't be fooled by the "free" breakfast...it's lukewarm, water-down coffee...but it did come in handy to wash down the dried up carrot muffin that was included. This place needs a time machine and a blow torch.

We stayed here for 1 night in July 2004. we had a family room which was large but not very nicely decorated, out of a 70's timewarp. The fridge was so noisy we had to turn it off to get any sleep. We ate in the pub downstairs, the food wasn't very good and we were the only people in there. The hot tub was closed and looked as if it had been for a long time. We were glad to leave. This place is much more like a very tired motel than a lodge in my opinion. Spend a honeymoon here? Not likely.

Campbell River Lodge was our choice for our honeymoon in 1993 and again in 1994 for our 1st anniversary. While their for our honeymoon, we met almost everyone at the lodge and we had a wonderful time their. They were very friendly and helpful and most of all the meals there were delicious. The rooms were beautiful and close to every need of ours. The pub was a meeting place for all and we met a lot of friendly people. The fishing was thru their guides and very reputable and A1 guides. My wife and I caught a lot of fish and enjoyed the beautiful scenery there. We hope to return with our son soon and let him enjoy as we did the people and fishing that we enjoyed.
