“Great Pier and Great Ice Cream”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2013

What a great pier to go for a walk on it played a great part in the history of Campbell River. We walked the whole pier saw people fishing, you can rent a pole right there. We saw seals in the water. We had the best ice cream cone but if you order one ask for the baby it is very big. You can also get a light lunch. On Saturday they have a great market right in the parking lot at the pier. You should not miss it.

“best ice cream on the island..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2013

This pier is found from the parking lot of the Mariner Museum. Walk out on the pier and enjoy ice cream cones or snacks. Rent a fishing pole and try to catch a salmon. One salmon around 45 pounds was caught there last year. Cruise ships will fill your view as they pass by. Working tugs hauling freight to and from Alaska as well as tugs hauling hugh log booms to the mills are almost daily traffic.

In the same parking lot is a marine museum. The fishing boat that was on the Canadian $5.00 bill is housed there. This is a heritage site. Check that out as well

“Peaceful and serene”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2013

Bring your camera! The view and the peacefulness at the pier is not to be missed by vacationers or locals. The ice cream served here are large and be warned if the wind is blowing it will melt fast! It's also a great place to visit on a hot summer night as it is typically much cooler here than in the suburbs. It's also a great place to get up close to see cruise ships.
