“Burnaby Village Museum opens up all your senses, " Taste, Touch, Smell, Sight, and Hearing".”
Reviewed 22 May 2014

This strolling/interactive Village is free to visit and is truly wonderful to pass the day away no matter what the weather is like in Burnaby. Very close to Vancouver and Hwy #1 and not far from Deer Lake.
Show your children what is was like in the days of our grandparents and be proud of what we have today because of them. The moment you arrive, and walk over the hanging bridge it is like discovering a hidden gem. Enjoy the food in the ice cream parlor and take a ride on the an authentic Carousel . Cost $2.50
Come Visit and Go Back In Time....It is Magical!

“Beautifully presented museum”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

This museum is well worth a visit. It is free to enter which is amazing considering the beautiful presentation of buildings and exhibits. The farmhouse is terrific and the restored tram is just amazing. The lady who works in the tram exhibit is so knowledgeable and obviously loves the tram. It was such a pleasure learning about and experiencing the tram from such an enthusiastic source. The workers here obviously like their jobs and enjoy sharing their knowledge with the public. A great experience!

“A wonderful trip back in time.”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

I love going to Burnaby Village Museum. For me it's like stepping back into the time when my Mom and Dad were young. The Modern Store there is the same as the one that was in my Mom's New Westminster neighbourhood when she was growing up. Walking through the different buildings, gives you insight into how far we've come. They had such a simiple life in those days - yet they didn't have all the conveniences we have these days.

“Stepping Back In Time”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

This is a wonderful place to visit. The staff are dressed in period costume and all are very informative. Something for everyone to enjoy including a carousel, a small church where
small private weddings are performed in the chaple, a blacksmith, bank, printing machines and much more.

“Charming Little Museum”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

Some original buildings and some replicas in a park-like setting. Nicely restored carousel and band organ. Staff in period costumes doing blacksmith ing etc. Fun for kids, even teens, too.
