Burnaby campground is very convientaly located. We were only a very short drive to malls and groceries, the sky train was only a short walk away, and it is adjacent to a large park. The pool and hot tub were very clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed coming back to them at the end of a long day of sight seeing. The management provided an extremely useful guide of what to see and do in Vancouver and how to get there. The sites were small, as we expected, but the staff oversestimated the size of the site they gave us. We had a 29 ft trailer attached to a truck. The other trailers around us, were very large and jutting into the street. Even with a staff member backing us into the site it was very tight. We could not get the trailer off the site when we were leaving, despite the staff's conviction that we were fine. Finally with his guidance we were able to clear the site, but we took a section of the hedge with us.
Overall, I would recommend this campground to anyone looking to sight see in Vancouver. It was very clean, quiet (except for a train that travels past), safe and we really appreciated the hot tub!

We really enjoyed our relaxing stay at the Burnaby Cariboo RV Park. The setting is lovely with hedges for privacy, landscaping and walking trails. It is well located -- close to shopping and only 20 minute from downtown if you are not traveling during the rush hour. Previous reviewers mention the noise of the trains. Yes, the trains do roll through, but we didn't find that they disturbed us. It felt like we were staying in a little bit of country in the city. It was so peaceful and quiet that we didn't feel like we were staying in the city at all. We will definitely return!

We rented a tenting campsite from Burnaby Cariboo RV Park and found a gazebo surrounded by eight or ten square sandlots. There was no privacy at all for tenters, unlike the RV people who had tall hedges between their lots. In addition to this, the tent sites were right next to some train tracks where a locomotive went screaming and moaning by at least three times a night (waking us up each time). It's hard to believe this wouldn't also affect the RV people because no part of the grounds was far enough away not to hear that noise!

The showers were free to use but had zero water pressure. The swimming pool and hot tub were nice but crowded (the park seems to be popular with roaming college-age loudmouths.)

For this we paid about $40/night and didn't even have power in the tent section. Skip it!

One of the better RV Parks we stayed at during our 2 month trek and believe me we saw plenty of them.

Each r.v. bay had a hedge surround for privacy. The grounds were well maintained. Had a lovely pool and jacuzzi. Although situated to the East of Vancouver, with a good ten minute walk to the Sky train, which is brilliant, we saw most of Vancouver's attractions. Also next stop down on the Sky train, is a brilliant shopping mall. Bring your own alcohol though, couldn't find a liquor store.
