This place gets good reviews but I found most of the dimsum pretty average, nothing special but nothing awful. Pros - we've always been seated immediately (though we always go on weekdays). Good variety, they still deliver on carts so you can see your food before ordering it and get instant gratification.Unlike most chinese restaurants, their dimsum is not overly salty or full of MSG. Very good prawn spring rolls (the only truly outstanding dimsum we have found). Good prices. Cons - spotty and not too friendly service. But unlike some reviewers, I did not find the wait staff pushy at all.

All in all, because of the proximity to our house, the price and variety, we go here frequently, but if I have the inclination to make the drive, I am sure there are better places in the Vancouver area.

I have been going to this location since it was Wok with Yan's back in the late 80's / early 90's!! The dim sum is good, they still have steamer carts which I think is a must for dim sum. Ambience is just okay, nothing great. I love their siu mai and their famous melon with honey!! Good food, fast service, and you can watch the game on TV :) There is usually a bit of a line up but we've never waited more thatn 5 or 10 minutes.

We came across an ad on this restaurant on a coupon book "Money Saver" sent to our house. There was a color ad of the restaurant with 2 little cut-out coupons. One of the coupons says $5 off dimsum with purchase of $25. We thought we should give it a try and I cut out the entire ad from the coupon book.
We ordered some dim sum dishes and it's ok, nothing fantastic but the waitresses were very aggressive. When we asked them about a certain dim sum dish, they would just take it out of the cart and place it on our table and immediately note on the order card. When we told them that we decided not to have that, they will immediately push us to try it saying that it's very good. We gave in and decide to try it. Little did we know, all the waitresses does this! We felt uncomfortable and told them to take it away when they try to be too pushy and they don't like it! You can basically see their reaction when you refused them.
When it's time to pay, we took out the coupon to get the discount. You wouldn't believe this, they told us that the coupon is not valid! It's a scam!! We were totally shocked and asked them how can it be possible!? Eventhough we show them the entire ad, the manager still insist that it's a scam. We couldn't believe it, our total bill was $57 before tips and they couldn't even give us a $5 discount and claim that it's a scam???? Who in the world would pay for an ad and scam them!
Don't come here unless you want to get your pressure up!! With pushy waitresses and a dishonest manager/boss who doesn't honour their own advertisement, forget it, there are better places for dimsum with more reasonable prices!
