The Deer Lake park is a fantastic place to go for a walk, sightseeing and having a picnic during the Summer period. It’s safe to go on your own, yet a great place for families and/ or friends of all ages getting together . Many events happen in the park, specially during Spring and Summer, like diverse music events and festivals.

You enjoy a lot in this park. There is a boat rental and you can ride a bike and trekking there. It is an awesome place in the heart of the city. I strongly recommend spending at least one hour in the sunny day on the weekend...

Such a great place right in Burnaby. Can park in different locations of the park to see different areas. You can go for a long walk that goes around the whole lake or take a different loop for a different walk.
So nice and peaceful.

This is a beautiful lake and has a nice wooded forest around it with many old trees. The trails are nice. I was there on a rainy day and it was still nice.
