This is a small non-descript restaurant in a strip mall. We had a wonderful Indian meal with rich complex flavours with a surprisingly modest bill. If you are in Drumheller, this is definitely worth a visit.

On a visit on September 1st, we were greeted by a sign on the door saying the restaurant was closed and would be moving to a new location. We were very disappointed as Flavourz is a highlight of our visits to Drum. Hope to see them opening soon.

We're a picky crew.

We live in Toronto, pretty close to Little India, and we're pretty picking about what we eat there. It's also filled with some pretty good Indian restaurants.

So, in Drumheller, I'd not be expecting to be eating great Indian food.

My mother said don't assume.

The place isn't beautiful. In fact, it's a little dreary, next to a Dairy Queen, and the decor is early industrial.

But the food is fabulous. Really.

The spicing is not just about hot, but about fabulous flavours. The chicken saag (chicken with spinach) was flavourful, the chicken tender, and not greasy, with flavours coming through.

The lentil dish equally fabulous. The tandoori chicken -- great flavour, moist, delicious.

And service?

We showed up late for supper -- at least late for Alberta supper time, and they were closing the kitchen. The server went to check to see if the kitchen was still open, and they held the kitchen open for us. Most every other restaurant would have turned us away, and we'd be eating at McDonalds.

So, service -- great.

Food -- delicious.

And really reasonable in terms of the final bill.

If you're in Drumheller, looking for food -- you should go.

Great place to get Indian food. Just like you don't go for steak at a pizza place, don't go for a burger here! This is a gem and experience the amazing food!
